Pwrfect question to ask ChatGPT about…

While I agree that I don’t believe Gamepass will be shutting down any time soon and also find it ridiculous that people seem to actually think it can become a reality.

I’d have to disagree with your line of thinking. It’s a bit juvenile to view it from that angle. MS will shut down any aspect of its business the moment they stop believing in its long term viability regardless if they have trillions or not.

Luckily for us, they seem to be 100% committed to Phil and the team’s vision.

Of course they are. They won’t spend 8 billion and then another 70 bilion, Promote Phil to Head of gaming division and say that Xbox, Gaming is an integral part of Microsoft. Just to shut it down LOL.

The chance of Xbox, Gaming division shutting down is well i won’t say never… Cause you never know but it probably zero. It won’t happen in my lifetime that for sure.

Microsoft is not shutting down its Minecraft division.

I played an hour, it got boring pretty quickly but it was neat!

AI and gaming are probably the next big growth vectors for Microsoft and they both play into Azure, which is the heart of Microsoft. I’ve said it a million times but Phil hitching the Xbox trailer on the back of the 18 wheeler semi that is Azure was probably one of the biggest things to secure Xbox’s future at Microsoft.

I genuinely believe Xbox could have been should down back in 2016 or so if Phil didn’t come up with the cloud plan, which is kinda wild how the ABK deal is going down haha and even more wild Google trying to act like Microsoft killed Stadia and not themselves.

Just saw this footage of a really cool looking games. It’s by Cygames and Platinum Games. I wonder why it’s not coming to Xbox. It is coming to Windows, PS platforms.

This game has been developing for a while. Delay after delay. It may finally come out this year. Anyway, it was announced a while ago for those two platform, so I suppose they don’t want to add more to it. Also, it could be niche (west) anime-esque continue to ignore Xbox. That’s my guess.

I wonder if PS will do shadow drop. Both Nintendo and Xbox did it. Why not follow up? It’s fun.

It’s not by Platinum games anymore. They’ve long been dropped from the project and the game no longer resembles the Platinum build from 2017. It’s an in house Cygames project now.

Anyway Cygames is brand new to major console game development so I assume they’re"playing it safe " by launching on just PS and PC. They’ve released some smaller titles like Little Noah as Switch/PS/PC games too though.

Wait, Platinum is no longer doing it? I mean it has been developing for half a decade, so I can see why the change.

Their involvement ended back in 2019, it’s unclear exactly what happened.

I always assume they took forever to work on it that they’re still developing it.

That’s why the development’s been so long. The game rebooted from Platinum’s build.

Also the game is not quite what I was expecting from that video. I was expecting a Tales like game with exploration and stuff. This seems more like Monster Hunter where you go on quests into maps and do an objective. I’m not knocking the game for that or anything though, still looks very fun. And actually, that style of game makes a lot of sense considering Cygames’ mobile experience now that I think about it.

The year of monster hunter confirmed.

Not that it’s a big deal, but we are over half way through Feb and MS has yet to push even a small update to the stable channel in terms of OS updates.

The last stable update was early Dec, and we are plodding along towards March at this rate with no update in tow.

I wonder if MS will try and transition to one stable update per quarter (baring something just breaking) with the other channels getting more frequent updates.

I agree, If this game came out and didnt have the name metroid in the title nobody would care

I had the exact same thoughts last week when I saw some footage, it was only a few minutes but still. But then I thought maybe it’s the kind of game that gets better and better as you progress further? Unlocking new weapons, abilities? That’s how High on Life started out for me, got way more fun as I started to unlock stuff.

The reviews for Prime Remastered have been glowing, making it seem like it stood the test of time easily.
