While he can get things wrong at time, it’s amazing how this kind of headline/title is hard to say these days.

I was really disappointed with games journalism yesterday. A lot of empty hot takes and nothing of substance. Destin missed the plot sometimes but he got it right here.

Im not, well I am but people should be used to how terrible journalism in pretty much all fields nowadays has become

It’s all about clicks, it’s garbage

The fact that “games journalists” were trying to turn the Gamepass story into some shocking revelation is exactly why I stopped following sites and commentators years ago. I get that bad Xbox news sells and gets all the clicks, but it’s exhausting. I swear if the wind blew a piece of trash into the street and Phil Spencer was within a hundred yards of it, they would find a way to blame him not only for the trash but for global warming as well.

You really can’t make this shit up. The hyperbole in the Gaming community is insane. It changes day to day like crazy.

Four hours into playing Wanted : Dead , and I’m loving it so far but yeah this game will definitely be an “acquired taste”. While It’s right up my alley I can see many being put off by a lot of it. Much of the game design in this one will be considered “archaic” by many. Particularly the way checkpoints work and the difficulty is unforgiving to say the least. I’d put it up there with the likes of Ninja Gaiden ( easy mode must be unlocked) though is you die a certain amount of times the game will ask you if you want to switch to “Neko mode” which I am assuming is the easy mode and your character is forced to wear cat ears. The first stage alone feels like it’s throwing everything at you. One part you will fight a large number of tough spongy enemies only for a mid boss to show up to push your shit in and if you survive you have another group of tough enemies to get through before you finally hit the checkpoint and restock on ammo.

There is a certain amount of “jank” that makes it feel like it came out during the PS2/XBOX/Gamecube era. which is part of it’s charm IMO. Story wise it feels like one of those straight to video cyberpunk action movie starring some European born Martial Artist that Albert Pyun would have put out in the 90’s , I mean that as a compliment BTW. I fucking loved watching those movies!

If you happen to be playing this game my tip would be this. Get the defense upgrade the second you are able to access the upgrade window. You are constantly getting points for your skill tree, I would wait until a checkpoint to buy any new abilities, because of how the checkpoints work. If you die before reaching the next (and you probably will) you end up back at the last checkpoint and any new abilities you bought will need to be purchased again.

There is a part of the first stage where a chainsaw sits on the floor ( you’ll know when you see it) a bunch of armored guys with swords will run at you, and each hit with the chainsaw is a one hit kill. You’ll feel tempted to use it but don’t. Instead just parry strike most of these guys with your sword and leave the chainsaw alone, because right after they’re all dead a sub boss shows up. This fucker is extremely hard to beat ( at least for me) but if you pick up the chainsaw, one hit kill. I repeated this part of the level so many times before picking that up. But yeah I am digging this game a lot but it is not going to be for everyone. I expect this to not score high on the ol Meta if you care about such things.

You know the scary part is, Xbox isn’t the main source of money making while Sony can be said PS is. Basically, it’s a matter of who’s draining money and who’s going to hit bottom first.

If OpenAI become as big as the projection? It will be the next big thing in tech. MS owns 49% of OpenAI and has exclusive deal with OpenAI to used their cloud server Azure to powered OpenAI. This deal is really huge, it will leave Sony in the dust. This deal in the future alone is projected to be worth 600 billion plus… That is more than Sony whole company will ever be worth. This is the type of deal and tech that which make MS a trillion dollar company.

I was about to ask why the A.I thing is a big deal to some

It a big deal cause some people, and by which i mean the doom and gloom people thinking Xbox, Gamepass will be shutdown in the future cause it’s cannibalizing game sales LOL.

Just show them this and the insane amount of money that Microsoft makes. Microsoft can keep Gamepass running just with a fraction of their money. They are that rich. So the notion that Gamepass will be shutdown is laughable.
