Gold is just there for the conversion, once Microsoft feels they hit a certain growth and retention with GamePass. Itâs probably good bye gold and good bye conversation.

At this point this is probably the reason Gold is still a thing. 
I think when COD hits Game Pass, we will get the final countdown for gold. Maybe they will introduce obligatory cheaper Game Pass tier. Who knowsâŚ

There was a rumor of a 3.99 a month Gamepass tier.
Just like Friends & Family, I think Microsoft experiments with various tiers. 3.99$ obligatory subscription might be a decent alternative -first party, online multiplayer and no EA Play, maybe some indie third parties etc.

New Year is upon us and so as the new year of gaming. Likely the busiest year yet of the generation. With that said, January is up first. What do you think it will be the:

Yeah⌠I wonder why they donât just offer cheaper one-year subs like PS do. Sounds easier than keeping Gold around on life support.
My prediction about gold/gamepass is they will eliminate gold and introduce Gamepass Basic. With gamepass basic it will cost the same as gold⌠I just wonder if ad based gamepass tier if it will get full gamepass access or maybe select games per month and access to online play
They are probably working on transferring gold entitlements to GamePass, I noticed recently on sales that it doesnât say with gold for discounts, it says GamePass. Also I doubt yearly sub with GamePass will end up costing less than stacking a year of gold.
Im guessing âBasicâ would be full online and all first party games 6 month post release

Yeah, I can see âBasicâ either being just first party games with a couple of indies an online play. Then the other option will basically be what you mentioned of online play with no first party and possibly other launches.
I feel the rumor of an ad based tier was just an idea, but wonât execute due to backlash.
I think there was some explanation why PS provides cheaper 1 year offers. Donât remember why exactly but personally but my take it is due to their big marketshare so 1 year bound customers leads to a bigger third party revenue due to a bigger market share.

No I donât think it will be cheaper than the Gold-conversion, but it will be cheaper than a monthly/quarterly sub as it should be.
I mean, itâs kinda normal in subs. Ties you to the ecosystem, and you give them more guaranteed money upfront.
Was at a DC expo today and saw all kinds of artwork from their franchisew, including Wonder Woman. Some beautiful locations in that artwork. Really made me wonder what the game is going to be like. Lots of potential! Wonder how that project is going.

its from makers of Modor, so I think it will be similar to that. I just hope its less open world than those games
