Well they. certainly can but I don’t see them stopping with acquisitions. In fact after ABK - no acquisition can be stopped anymore simply because what deal can be bigger than this whole “70b” and “COD”?

Finally, a PlayStation has been acquired. Ragnarok here I come
They can do both
But funding a few Japanese exclusives here and there ain’t gonna cut it, acquisitions are needed
Depends. What’s the goal? Taking over the japanese market? No acquisition can do that. Getting more diversity on the platform, that can be achieved by publishing.
If anyone has that rpg itch and hasnt played Marvel Midnight Suns, I highly recommend it. Best rpg this year in my opinion. Yes, I liked it more than Elden Ring.
Bonus points if you like strategy.
No, they will never take over the Japanese market regardless of acquisitions but if they want to be an actual player and appeal on a worldwide scale, a few published games here and there isn’t gonna cut it
They need to be pumping out Japanese/Asian games consistently, acquisitions enable this
No, publishing means that Microsoft constantly needs to pay in order to get the content on Xbox and in Game Pass. It is not effective strategy - they need a big move to make their platform attractive and publisher acquisition would help. They need a steady supply of content and a lot of inhouse developers.
On the west they would never have problems in getting third party games on their platforms and founding exclusive games - but they went after acquisition because it is much more better investment.
A new trailer is not something I was expecting, very nice surprise.
It can come later, does not have to be actual day 1.
I can wait for games to come to gamepass i don’t need day 1. Having day 1 on GP would be nice but i’m fine waiting.
Sony having the market deals means it probably never coming though that the difference.
Sony don’t have a permanent clause, it’s just some sort of first right of refusal for around a year iirc or that it can’t be on another service before PS+ at least.
Release date possible ?
Someone remind me what months is Spring?
Once ubisoft+ hits Xbox you could probably just sign up for a month and play it using that.
Oh I just remembered that was supposed to be this year, where tf is it? Or are Ubisoft just waiting to align it with their upcoming big game releases?
When in doubt, blame ABK
Though I am curious about Ubisoft+ Classics and PS+ too - I expected more games from Ubisoft there with classics, yet it seems PS+ is not getting that much.
You joke but some people are doing this for real by blaming everything on the ABK deal and Xbox. I have seen people blame Xbox for the mediocre AAA third party games of 2022
Well, I mean I would not be surprised if certain things did not happen due to ABK for real
It freaking Sony so you never know with them and their shady deals. Cough Exclusion deals cough.
