March 2023 is a fuckin’ crazy month…some games that will come out in March are SW: Survivor, REmake 4, Wo Long (on GP too) and I am not even considering the chance of Redfall or any other indies like Benedict Fox coming out as well. So yeah to even have a chance to be noticed by the Xbox fanbase next March the least they can do is launch on GP, to be honest even then I don’t think the reception will be as good as it could have been if the game released on Xbox along the PS5 back in February…and that’s the problem with long periods of exclusivity. And the funny thing is that with cases like this after the 1 year late release we see some devs saying that the Xbox versions of their games didn’t do well enough, well no shit Sherlock.

This is an indie dev, not someone like Square that has 0 reason to be taking moneyhats and limiting their audience

More games on GP is always good and with your logic Persona shouldn’t have come to GP, I think most of us are very glad it did

To be fair about Atlus, there wasn’t any Sony deals there. They are just growing out of the outdated “unpaid PS exclusive” model almost all JP devs used to do.

Yup. Atlus and Ryu Ga Gotaku (Yakuza) were not Sony moneyhats but just outdated Japanese models that worked in their favor.

When (if?) FFVIIR finally comes to Xbox, I don’t want to see Square rewarded with a Game Pass bag.

Now that I think of it, indie devs are fine. You guys are right here so I concede that portion of my hot take.

Is it because the maker of Rick and Morty made it? It’s awesome that this is happening, but also very surprising.

I’m sure thats part of it but its a legitimately good game as well. Basically a comedic “Metroidvania” .

Honestly it seems to be a Sony issue because Nintendo pro controller uses internal and it has a strong battery life. Also elite controllers got a strong life too

Always prefer replaceable batteries to internal and this way a user can circumnavigate the issue if they so choose.
