Hahaha. I don’t buy every game. There’s hundreds of games that get released in a calendar year and I buy between 5 and 20. For 2022, it’s literally 8 which is not every game.

I understand not wanting to buy Square Enix games but since I also own a PlayStation 5, if a game doesn’t come to Xbox like Final Fantasy VII Remake/Rebirth, im not going to miss out on playing a game that im looking forward to playing.

But I understand your point of view.

ā€œbetween 5 and 20ā€ could mean 19 games that stll a lot i will probably buy like 5 games most in a year and it will be on sale for like 75 percent off.

There were precedents. Dragon Age Inquisition expansions and last Destiny expansion were only on then current gen Xbox One and Ps4.

Really happy to see that, It totally deserves the success.

I killed the 3rd boss yesterday and got Sweezy which is a freakin’ cool weapon. High on Life is definitely the sleeper hit of the year for me. Also DEMON WIND…this game is hilarious. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Early 2023 is nuts

Not a stance I’d personally take. If they release a game I’m interested in, like FF7: Core Crisis or hopefully, the mainline remake at some point, I’ll buy it. It might be scraps, but if they provide me with quality gaming time, why deny myself from that?

It’s like the Yakuza series, where at first we didn’t know if Sega were comitted to bringing them all across, yet here we are, releasing day & date with the PS versions.

Sega only did that cause of the ā€˜Gamepass money’ for Yakuza/Persona, same with Square only doing it for Gamepass money.

They know it won’t sell well on Xbox cause of all the past games skipping and has little history for Xbox gamers to purchase, that why they want Gamepass money!!! than they will release on Xbox.

Are the upcoming Like a Dragon games announced for Game Pass? What about the Judgment games?

As for Persona, there’s that weird situation with Atlus, where it seems as if Sega don’t actually have the power to get them to work on things they don’t want to, so who knows.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! does not look interesting to me, i doubt many on Xbox will buy that. Best hope it hits Gamepass soon.

Atlus/Sega got that Gamepass money to Put Persona on Xbox, there is no denying that. Without Gamepass money Persona 5 Royale would still not be on Xbox.

The Halo Infinite campaign is still on the list. Forza 5 still on top and Forza 4’s longevity in service is unreal! Fable will do insane numbers.

Yes, and just like with the Yakuza series, it’s possible they’re testing the waters to see if there’s a sufficient demand for it. We can only wait and see if P6 launches day one without Game Pass I guess, but I wouldn’t not spend money on the franchise in the case that it might not, if it’s one I enjoy.

They might be testing? but i’m 100% sure demands are extremely low, since they have been skipping Xbox for so long most gamers on Xbox don’t even really care about it. That is what happen when you keep skipping a platform! the gamers move on and won’t care for your incomplete release.

Like why would i buy your game? knowing a sequel or prequel is not guarantee to release on my platform of choice…

I’m sure both Sega and Square know this, they have the data/sales numbers and see how poorly it is. Sega is improving with their support for Xbox, while Square well not so much when Octopath 2 is skipping/waiting for Phil to write the Gamepass money…

You wouldn’t skip it as it’s self-defeating. If I and many others had taken such a stance with Yakuza, it’s possible we wouldn’t be getting the upcoming releases.

I could perhaps understand your stance better if say, it’s a Mass Effect-style game, where your choices, characters carry over to the sequel, but for games where they don’t, it’s more of a slight inconvenience of not being able to play on my preferred platform.

Well you have to make a stand somewhere. I choose to not buy their next game if a previous game skips my platform of choice.

It my choice/decision it not for everyone, they want to support the devs and buy the game? go on right ahead, i have no problem with it.
