I can sympathize with devs having to spend more time and resources to optimize for Series S, but pretending like last gen they didn’t also have to optimize for 4 console skus, hundreds of PC configurations, and sometimes Switch. If they have to build around Series S as a target, that’s already an incredibly advanced target in every way compared to PS4, if you want to complain about SS limiting you from targeting high-end hw, then might as well complain about PS5/XSX limiting you from targeting high-end PC hardware, why not complain about having to build around AMD GPUs on PC, or low-spec RTX cards…

Developers are getting paid for that though. It is not like they are doing optimizations for free.
But every time a person is saying that “Series S is bad”, every time the launched game runs like crap 
And then it is fixed with patches.
I blame PC gaming for the elitism.
Where I live the PCMR and Cultists are banding together pushing the narrative that the Series S is holding back the entire industry this gen.
The Cultists latest spin is that this will mean that PS5 will have a huge advantage as more games will be exclusive as it is easier to develop for a single console. It will also mean that first party PS games will go far beyond what Xbox can make as they are handicapped by the Series S, which will guarantee PS dominance.

Well before the generation started some people legitimately believed PS5 will have special versions of 3rd party games that are more advanced in their structure and have no loading screens while Xbox Series X will have a version less complex and has loading screens and all that last-gen stuff.

Do we know if it will have cross save with PC? There’s almost 0 chance I will play a 100 hour game, but if I can speed that up a bit with trainers on PC and go back to Xbox I might consider it.
RE4 is day one for me. The original was one of my favorite games of all time
While I still think RE4 remake isn’t necessary since it really has that timeless mechanic, I can’t wait for the game. I have to agree with one comment here, I wish they kept the laser dot aim. Gives that immerse feeling. Oh well.
But i thought the PCMR is now playing on Steam Deck…
Btw starting next year 3rd party devs will also have to target Switch 2. And this thing will have worse specs than Potatoseries S.
