XboxEra Community Hangout |OT9| Waiting for Developer_E3

No, the difference is that Xbox One was irrelevant so people mainly ignored him because it was not a threat. Now Xbox is a threat. A big threat.

You can see it easily. We have nonsense about “how can people afford two consoles” (imagine saying that to Xbox One owner) or “exclusives are anti-consumer” (imagine saying that to Xbox One owner) or “removing the games from the console community is bad” (imagine saying that to Xbox One owner)

People have been shitting on Xbox almost everywhere that has anything to do with Xbox, FFS people left reviews on target for the console saying don’t buy a Xbox it has no games haha. People fight on anything gaming related, it’s kinda wild.

But yeah people who do that are probably getting a bit scared and worried that Xbox is turning around, though they will still downplay it. Once Microsoft cracks the casual crowd again that’ll be the big shift.

You are so right. It’s funny to see the double standards. lol

Feathers are also ruffled because the Prestige console lost the GOTY, 2 years in a row with no GOTY award for the Industry Leading Studios isn’t an easy thing to swallow…and by the looks of it 2023 will be the same story with behemoths like Tears of the Kingdom & Starfield coming.

@Hue Sony fanboys are in full pissed off/aggression mode now and we haven’t seen nothing yet, the meltdowns/salty tears this generation will be glorious. :philwins:

It is funny because they are so pissed off right now when Microsoft has not released a single game :joy:

Not to mention the constant port begging for Starfield like they are trying to will a PS5 version into existence.

Oh I see this quite often. The other day Skullzi claimed he heard from sources that Bethesda and MS had some nice things planned for this year. And there was one comment…it comes to PS5 after 12 months?

Lmao. I don’t know what it is, but some folks can’t seem to grasp the idea that some games won’t come to the almighty, holy be thy PS5, sigh.

I really hate this term. It’s like wanting for a game you want to play to be on your platform is a bad thing for whatever reason.

I realize you’re probably referring to entitled fanboys who think every game should be on PS by default or priority.

Port begging label comes from entitlement (and console warring) - “we have the game and you don’t so you have to accept it”

Yes, for sure. But there are two things I’ve noticed that are a bit different lately:

  1. The obvious fear from the Cult. The bully has released Xbox is actually a threat again and they’re scrambling madly to defend their position. This is expected.

  2. Worse though, is that I’ve noticed a lot of pro-Xbox/neutral/sensible people who are for the first time in quite a while voicing their discontent with the state of Xbox. People are complaining about the lack of games, the waiting and asking wtf Xbox is doing with all their studios. I guess patience is running out a bit.

My other problems is that for some reason a lot of those pro-Xbox voices want Xbox to be kind to Playstation :grimacing:

I don’t know about that, but it’s not great when you lose momentum like that and start to annoy “the middle” so to speak.

As for being nice to PlayStation, me personally, I think the gloves should’ve come off a long time ago. It’s obvious PS has no interest in having Xbox around.

This might infuriate me more than every else, besides the comments that are hate filled of course.

How do you differentiate that from when you just want to play a game that’s not on your platform?

Well every PS owner also owns a gaming PC as they said in last-gen discussions about games being on PC means Xbox has no exclusives. :parrot:

So this begging for a PS5 version is always in bad faith.

We knew the moment Starfield and Redfall were delayed that it would be late winter/spring 2023 before we got AAA first party games. We’ve had a great year of Game Pass titles, and we’ve seen that there are already nearly 40 games announced for the service for 2023’s first half. It’s christmas, barely anything comes out around this time, yet today we got an i.m.o. fantastic third party day one release on Game Pass. We’ll find out more next Tuesday.

What patience? There are too many f’ing games to play, and personally I don’t care if they’re 1st party or not as long as they’re hitting Game Pass. Exclusivity and all those other things that matter on other platforms? Mean nothing here, and we know they have dozens of titles in the works for 1st party. Nothing has changed, other than content creators need to figure out more content.
