For this exact reason alone this is extra dumb, they look completely out of place. lol

Better than having the most generic looking monsters around and just another rip off of the first 3 games which is what the swarm is

Regardless, I dont think they look out of place, it’s up to art directors and the team to make it feel like a believable world

I am assuming this Garvin guy is talking about Days Gone…he sounds pretty salty.

How can the Swarm be generic when they are a Locust rip-off, do you think Locusts were generic looking enemies too?

It’s another thing called lore in the series that needs consideration, how can it be a believable Gears world with angels and demons in it? AFAIK there isn’t even a mention/hint of the supernatural in the series, this is like saying angels and demons could work in Halo. lol

Also as I said flying enemies in shooters 99.9% of the times suck so that’s another reason to not add anything with wings.

fml please bring this to more countries (my country) :frowning:

PlayStation games have such a (well deserved) reputation for quality that it really sticks in people’s craw when one is bad or even just okay. There will be people arguing that Days Gone and The Order 1886 are underrated secret masterpieces forever. Some people just can’t process the idea that even Sony misses the mark once in a while.

Who cares, Gears story and lore is not that serious, they should honestly retcon and make up lore however they like if it serves them in making an evolved Gears experience.

I mean they always have been pretty generic but it never really bothered me that much with the trilogy, its more of a problem now because 4 and 5 basically rehashed the same thing over again

and again, they don’t need to be literal angels and demons or even supernatural, just evolved locusts the same way lambent locusts were

It’s Gears, it’s never been played for it’s amazing writing, there’s endless ideas they could come up with for new evolved forms of enemies to emerge, it’s sci-fi b tier movie schlock

Cashback eh? That could be quite nice. A game could cost 80 euro but might be 70 with cashback? In the past I’ve bought TVs and received 100 euros cashback from the company.

I already have cash back in the app, doesn’t look much different than the stuff that most credit cards have. Nothing about cash back on Xbox purchases or anything.

For instance…

Hmmm, I see. Nothing too great for gamers I guess then.

Not bad for a non game huh

Option is always nice.

Days gone is one of my favorite ps exclusives. I like it more than last of us and ghosts… not as much as god of war. days gone 2 was my main reason for wanting a ps5 at first before xbox. With that being said the game deserved the scores it got because it was a buggy mess. even when i played it 2 years after release it still had issues

You’re asking who cares if a thing won’t make sense in a game? I dunno…a lot of people that don’t like to see things totally out of place in games? you might not care but that doesn’t mean it’ll be a smart thing to do.

Next time Capcom should add aliens in the next RE to evolve the RE experience. Does that not sound ridiculous to you? it sounds pretty stupid to me, just like seeing demons and hell in a Gears game. If they are going to go that route they should create an entirely new IP or make a 3rd person DOOM spin-off game (that could be cool actually).

Sci-fi b tier/movie schlock whatever there are some rules in it’s world/lore that need to be followed, otherwise it could become comical if they decide to add anything that comes to their mind just to be cool. At least that’s my opinion.

I am pretty sure that we’ll see evolved locusts/new enemy types in Gears 6, they probably won’t be hellish gargoyles though. I believe that there is still a lot of cool designs/concepts that can be created within the Locust template, there is no reason for Gears to jump the shark to make things interesting.

I am exhausted. Lengthy and huge production migrations have wrecked my schedule and now the payment comes due. Need to find my second wind before the sandman strikes. Caffeine has no impact now.

Drops are on!
