Is it available on console as well?

Very odd release from EA. Zero promotion at all.

How bad is the quality control for the xbox elite series 2 controller? It’s on sale of save $40, and feel very tempted even though I had eyes on designlab

The quality is supposed to be improved all around from this fall, but I think it’s still a bit of a lottery.

What place has it on sale?

Terrible in my opinion. I got one for Christmas last year and have done probably 10 RMAs over the year. Each one had an issue with the face buttons (always A and to a lesser extent Y) registering. My 1 year warranty runs out next week and I currently have what expect my last return out for replacement. I’m hoping once the 1 year is up I’ll be able to get my money back through my credit cards extended warranty, but I don’t have high hopes.

Not great. I haven’t counted the times I returned a V2 to get another new one from the store but it has been way too much.

A, or X buttons barely registering unless pressed very hard, same with LB/RB, or the X and A button getting stuck in the sockets and they’d randomly pop out again. And these are all issues spread over several V2’s. If these controllers didn’t have the issues it would have been perfection. I don’t understand why they can’t get it right.

I realize that my store here has been amazing. Even after warranty they gave me the option to choose another one. Had this not been the case I probably would have switched over to the regular controller again.

It’s a shame really. I can never recommend this to people who look to me for advice. Mine has worked great but i must have been super lucky since it seems to be made by monkeys in a cave somewhere with 0 quality control.

True in regards to the dodging but with the button, it just feels better and if you just press the button without the direction, you normally will dodge backwards.

I went with a melee based build first and then went more into the guns and it was the better idea. In a way, I wish that I didn’t spend the currency on upgrading my melee weapon. There should be a respec option. lol

Yeah, im enjoying it a lot and will wrap it up tomorrow. May get the game again next summer if the DLC is good.

This. I’m not expecting Microsoft to get any AAA marketing deals or exclusivity unless it includes Game Pass day one.

The game itself is not half bad. Though I wish you could turn off the cops and just race. :man_shrugging:

I believe so. 60 fps locked.

Which is a shame because due to that when Microsoft decides to acquire somebody it often ends with the marketing deals preventing Game Pass for a year or time exclusivity even.

I’ve been quite vocal on my thoughts on Gears going forward and how I feel the series needs a shake up and evolution

but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t incredibly excited to see what they can do with UE5, don’t think there’s any dev better with UE than them

Microsoft still does non-Game Pass marketing deals. I agree it will be less and less moving forward but they’ve not stopped them entirely.

All they need to do is look at Hivebusters and do that but longer

True.

However, if Microsoft has a live showcase next June for E3 returning, then I do believe that there’s a chance for AAA third party games to be on the showcase because if they attempt that 12 month show in front of a live audience, I believe that they would get booed out of the building as they should because no one is spending hundreds if not a thousand or more dollars to go to E3, pay for a hotel room, multiple days and food, etc. just to see Indies and some AA titles along with the few first party titles that would be ready to be shown. If it’s a digital showcase, then I wouldn’t be shocked if they follow the 12 month format even though I believe that it was a one time thing due to the fact that after delaying Redfall/Starfield/Forza to 2023, they pivoted and decided that they needed to show why you should subscribe or stay subscribed to Game Pass.

Yeah, they’ll do the smaller games like Indies and a few AA titles but how many have their been recently that DIDN’T include the game being on Game Pass day one? Over the last two Xbox showcases, it was Far Cry 6, Battlefield 2042 and Diablo 2 Resurrected in 2021 and Overwatch 2/Diablo IV in 2022 which I believe was only done because they will obviously most likely own ABK.

If they do them, great but I stopped expecting Microsoft to do this after this past June’s showcase.

Stop confusing what you consider a good show for what the industry or other gamers would consider a good show. Under no circumstances would they get ā€œbooedā€ off the stage lmao.

I know I’m late to the party but I had no idea Sifu came to the Switch lol. What do some devs have against Xbox.

A PlayStation contract
