Oh interesting, I was just recently thinking maybe they could introduce a media player mode that cuts power consumption when watching YouTube, Netflix, etc.

Someone got God of War Ragnarok early and he just gave his honest opinion. Says it feels too linear, aimed at new players, climbing areas are all marked with arrows and that HFW looks much better. It’s not like he says it sucks and that’s it.

Of course he’s being attacked immediately and being called Xbox fanboy, that he’s trying hard to downplay GoW while playing Ryse. This is why I cannot stand the cult members. I’m not surprised, the IGN Korea review (gave it a 6)got trashed too. When it comes to the holy grail that are Sony exclusives you cannot speak your opinion unless it’s nothing but praise.

So basically we will watch every game not on Xbox and PC do worse sales wise than Elden Ring by a large margin.

Think it would be a big mistake by from software if they don’t become a multiplat studio after Elden Ring. Their multiplat games did huge numbers and limiting yourself to Sony will hurt that momentum imo. I could see Sony just saying timed playstation exclusive and later on PC, but not Xbox

If they decide to make them PS5/PC releases then the hit from not releasing an Xbox version will be much smaller since PC is From’s biggest market IIRC.

Those are some shitty news for me as I love From’s games and I thought that after Elden Ring’s success we wouldn’t see more Playstation exclusives but after those news? I’ll put From up there (or down there? lol) with Square Enix in terms of Xbox support for now so I won’t be disappointed in the future.

I’d say it could have even better PC sales if some of the Xbox sales transition to PC now, unless Sony decides to release it after 1 year like with Final Fantasy, which would be great for PS5 but it would lower the next game’s sales hardly.

About the From Software’s PS5 exclusive game, it was kinda confirmed early 2021 when Hermen was calling them and Kojima Productions, Sony partners or second party, something like that.

Luckily, i think Elden Ring’s megahit and Sony moving to PC slowly will kinda force them to release it on PC day one.

My take on this is that FromSoft will be expanding and probably have a new team they grow that makes Playstation exclusives.

There is nothing new here but speculation, since Sony’s investment was months ago and we knew they were making a PS5 exclusive since last year, and that was signed likely 2-3 years ago. I think an exclusive game or two perhaps was signed back then, before Elden Ring became such a hit. After Elden Ring, I don’t think they would sign up for exclusive games anymore. So, I guess it could depend how many games they signed up for, hope it’s just one for Xbox souls fans’ sake.
