XboxEra Community Hangout |OT8| Waiting for E3 2023

It means they’re beyond clueless, especially when substantial number of games still target Nintendo Switch and PS4. The bottlenecks are typically CPU more so than GPU where you can scale down graphics far easier than game logic.

Metro Exodus can run at 60fps on Series S and his game can’t? Is he working on GTA 7?

You won’t believe how many developers with absolutely zealous hatred towards Microsoft I meet on a regular basis.

Bullshit. This is ourely WB games qnd their garbage ass optimsiation team and engine management.

60fps doesnt require super cpu

Oh and if you want console owners to get use to 30fps

Dont charge 70 dollars. Simple

And see them releasing a patch in a month that adds 60fps support :joy:

What sony fanboy moron is blaming series s? Lol

Of course they will

Tethered coop doesnt allow 60fps?

Some pc nerd on a 1080Ti runs it at 60 easily i bet.

Hypocrits.

Now if no pc card below a 2070 can run it at above 30fps…ill understand their reasoning.

But even then. Why why 1 week before release to confirm this?

What cynical shithead at WB thought they could get away with this?

Were emabrassed about no 60fps option so well hide it fro gamers and take their money anyway. Absolute cowards.

I fucking hate companies like this.

Its one thing to have an inept team incapable of optimi8ng your game…but to hide that detail so close to release so you can take peoples money anyway…thats fucking low.

No thanks. Gotham Knights and A Plague Tale Requiem are exceptions to the rule. If they were 50/50 games for me, they would be dropped off my list already. I can deal with a game here and there being 30FPS but in no way, shape or form should they be the standard whatsoever. This alone makes me hope the mid-gen consoles despite not really wanting them this generation to exist because at that point, there literally should be no reason why any game couldn’t offer you a 60FPS performance mode.

This site is looking different

I personally prefer the previous version.

No im not because if it’s not a game im 100% willing to play and im sure you know me by now and know that’s not many games so if the game isn’t my way, that shit will be skipped completely and permanently.

I’m not sure yet.

I agree with you. Only in rare cases will i accept 30fps on my series x. Flight simuator being one and maybe starfield because that game is slow as hell. But starfield will have oerformance mode no doubt.

But WB has a history with shitty optimisatins. Arkham Jnight on PC Arkham arhives games. All shit optimisation and cash grabs.

Context. I can go back and play Forza Horizon 1 or GRID and while I may wish they were 60 fps, I understand why they aren’t and it is what it is. It would be like complaining that a movie from 1940 is in black and white instead of color.

That’s totally different than a game in 2022, when 60 fps performance modes are a standard expectation, and let’s be real this game doesn’t look radically different or better than any other game that all offer 60 fps modes and this one doesn’t. Unacceptable.

As long as studios provide options it’s all good.

You are dead set on having 60fps? There’s a mode, with a lower resolution or less visual fidelity. Want all the visual bells and whistles at 4K or close to it? There’s a mode for that too.

I hope Plague Tale Requiem will have that, depending on how fuzzy (or not) it looks in performance mode I might choose that or go for visuals because I played the first one in 30fps too and it was fine.

Starfield same story, I love a smooth framerate but I love impressive visuals too. It’s gonna be jarring at first though, since for the majority of actual playtime it will be in first person. It’s less jarring in third.

I think 60fps has become an expectation during a period with a ton of cross gen and it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing more and more 30fps games. We shall see.

So far we’ve had many games with performance modes now where both visuals and framerate are great. I wonder why they would stop offering these modes. Or do you think that at some point the sacrifices to visuals would be too big for a performance mode?
