Every Tuesday night!
Nice!!! I checked out the new skill treees and whatnot but havenât started the expansion yet. I may grind Expeditions in order to get remaining mods that im missing before starting the expansion.
Kotaku really has it in for Xbox so much so they appear to blame Xbox for the crunch allegations against Bethesda that happened well before the acquisition
Theyâre also calling Matt Booty âhead of Xboxâ, for extra journalistic integrity
Best not to waste the neuron-firing required to read itâŚ
Im not jealous! IM NOT JEALOUS DAMMIT!!
Hope to see game devs being benefit from this.
Interesting isnât it? Like, they were trying their hardest to spin that particular article like a negative one âŚand I just cant see it.
Yeah not worth it. I was glad to find out the general attitude towards Kotaku has been negative not only from Xbox fans. They seem to get worse the more people point out how garbage their publications have become. Donât understand why companies wouldnât blacklist them at this point
The bullshit starts at the headline, âXbox Headâ makes you think itâs Phil Spencer and heâs defending crunch. And that wasnât a mistake, it was repeated in the article, they know exactly what theyâre doing.
Classic Kotaku they eve some (few) really good articles but most of them are just trash for clicks like this one (specially with that sensatinalism title) and knowing that 95% of gamerz will just look at the titleâŚwell, theh know what they were doing.

Good list. Iâm day one for the first four games with the fifth game being 50/50.
For everyone else, how many games are you playing from this list?
Plague Tale, Evil West, Callisto, Dartktide, and Stray. These are the ones most interesting to me but I wonât play them all at least not this year.
But curious why itâs âAAâ arenât some of those AAA?! Does ACG have a budget breakdown to know?
I want all of those :c
Pretty ramdom question peter but I kind of lost your mesagge about your opinion of Dying light 1.
Forgot to asked you something. In your opinion, what nighttime was scarier? The first 1 or the second one? Also. What do you think about the rpg stuff they addes to the game? Did it added something or was it a bad decision?
Iâm playing A Plague Tale: Requiem for sure. Callisto Protocol, Iâll wait for a sale. Stray if it ever comes to the non-modern console.
I would be more interested in Darktide if I could play solo without AI team mates. Still keeping an eye on the game though.
I donât know. Thatâs what ACG labeled it. Could be based on their previous games or in a few cases, their first game but this is just an assumption on my part.
I would say Dying Light 2015 was more scarier at night time because youâre far better equipped in Dying Light 2. However, I know thereâs been a few updates recently to the game that has changed a few aspects during night time but I donât know exactly what they entail as I havenât gone back to the game since im waiting for their first expansion which was originally June but then delayed to September.
I liked the RPG elements in Dying Light 2. Itâs not heavy or overdone. Itâs a good balance in my opinion. Itâs not extremely light to where youâll think, why did they even bother but itâs also not like say Biomutant which had too many RPG and gameplay mechanics in the game to where youâll be wishing for âless is moreâ scenario. So again, I think itâs well balanced and had no real issues with any of it.
The dialogue choices and decisions you have to make while not many can change a few outcomes of characters and what world advantages you get depending on which faction you side with throughout the game. For example, around midway through the game, I made a decision that as soon as I made it, I knew it would bite me in the ass and it did as I didnât get the preferred ending I wanted.
Also, I played the game on hard difficulty which I had never done in a first person game. I believe itâs the way the game should be played because I started on normal and went 10 hours and barely got hit so I restarted the game on hard and really enjoyed it. You will die but not enough times to where you would regret playing on hard.
Requiem looks so damn good. Callistoâs gore looks insane. Donât you own a PS4? If so, Stray is a cross-gen game and on PS Plus day one.
Oh I did not know that. Awesome!
The report projects the market to progress at a CAGR of 12.26%. 47% of the marketâs growth will originate from APAC during the forecast period. China, Japan, and South Korea are the key markets for the mobile gaming market in APAC. Market growth in this region will be faster than the growth of the market in Europe.
Dont know how reliable the reports and analysis of Technavio are but I thought it would be interesting to share the information (the little bits the share)
@peter42O thats a shame to hear. Nightime in DL1 has to be the most nerv-wrecking experience I have experience in any game. The tension, horror and difficulty coupled with the reward-risk of them made DL my favorite zombie game of all time (and the volatiles my favorite type of zombie :3)
By what you are describing I dont think I will have any problem with the RPG aspecr of the game so Iâm looking forward to see a good deal to get the game!
I agree with you in regards to DL 2015 but at the same time, I understand why they changed it up as metrics showed them that the vast majority of players avoided night time. I know that when playing new game+, they added banshees and if I remember correctly volatiles to night time due to players being able to play at their max level including gear and equipment.
The RPG elements arenât overwhelming or anything and pretty straight forward. Thereâs plenty of loot that youâll get while playing and leveling up is at a solid pace. Let me know how you like the game when you eventually play it.
Sorry for the non sequitur on all the discussion above.
I just want to say that I love this forum and this community.
Itâs been a pretty hectic and stressful few weeks at work - trying to deal with an unexpected retirement from one of my team members, doing annual performance reviews (which are not all great), interviewing potential new hires - all in addition to my ânormalâ duties.
So, how did I choose to decompress tonight? Not by watching TV, not by playing a game. Instead, I came to Xboxera and spent two hours (and over 1,000 words) posting in the acquisition topic. And now I am relaxed and ready for a good nightâs sleep.
In almost any other context I would consider writing 1,000 words as âworkâ - but here itâs fun.
It is so nice to be able to spend time with virtual friends from all over the world discussing our shared hobby.
