I’m pretty sure most are just having fun with this, not that it means anything lol

Phil basically said the reason they went for ABK is more PC and Mobile

I was going to say that. I thought it was funny. Maybe sega is the next one. it seems liek a good fit but I can see sony going after them as well because sega means a lot to xbox fans. I still home its sega. Celebrate with a blue series x

Preach.

Should specify mainstream AAA games.

I see people still don’t understand what AI and have short memories about how modern games use “AI” compared to previous generations.

Woah that’s messed up, this could be an easy win for Xbox not to increase the price.

I’m assuming the strong USD is the primary reason for no increase in the U.S.

And that market being an Xbox stronghold is probably also part of the consideration, since the damage done by a price increase would perhaps be multiplied.

Anyway, here’s the official announcement:

Time for MS to go for the death blow in 2023. It’s now or never.

Not increasing the $US price to lowkey get away with it, the $ price is what most people look at as the real price, regional prices always varied anyway so this would be argued as an excuse why they’re not really increasing the price lol

“Rising costs have forced Sony’s hand”

what’s the likelihood of MS doing the same?

Yup watch all these outlets/media say it is “the current economic climate” that caused Sony to do this and nothing could stop it.

If they’re smart they won’t do it, unless it gets really bad but they have discounted the Series S in the US so I don’t think they’re strapped for cash. This could be a huge boon for MS to get more Xbox’s in houses which is what they want/need.

I hope they don’t follow the same route, what they need to do imo, make a small price cut on both models and advertise the hell out of it.Take this golden opportunity Sony is given to you.

So Sony increase the price everywhere except the US because that’s the only market in which they truly compete with Microsoft.

The strong USD probably also has something to do with it.

Well, they haven’t raised the game prices either

they are barely starting to charge sixty nine us dollars on 1st party AAAAA games.
