XboxEra Community Hangout |OT8| Waiting for E3 2023

It’s cool that Xbox is doing marketing for this. Playing into that it was a 360 exclusive a little I guess.

I will assume this is not the NISA partnership that was on the podcast rumor mill though.

It doesn’t work like that. They have a valid contract for a certain number of games. When it ends, Disney will still not be able to port these games to the Xbox.

The same thing happened with MLB. They can’t port older games due to existing contracts and now there’s a new deal

So things can change with new deals and new sequel if Disney desire so

Depending on how the contracts are written, ask yourself this: are Activision’s Spider-Man games available for sale digitally through backwards compatibility?

It’s certainly possible that someday another publisher will have Spider-Man gaming rights and the PlayStation games will be ā€œdisappearedā€ from existence digitally. That is just standard gaming practice for the industry, everyone knows that borrowed licenses are only temporary.

This looks pretty Rad

Works for me. Gimme, gimme, gimme. :joy:

You don’t have a single new release coming up that you want to play?

I don’t see Requiem getting delayed even though I think Focus picked a bad date. They should move the game up in my opinion and give it breathing room. High on Life will probably get it’s release date next week at Gamescom. I don’t see Gotham Knights getting delayed after Hogwarts was delayed. Not going to lie though, I do wish Gotham gets delayed to 2023 because it’s in my way. Going from Requiem to Gotham to GOWR in a three week span is too much. lol

Or just wait with buying Gotham and take your time with God of War

I’m saying this as someone who used to buy way too many games and then not knowing which game to start first, lmfao. I am one to talk, haha.

My plan is to play Requiem first and then Gotham depending on if im able to complete Requiem in a week which will depend on how much im working that particular week. Then play Gotham and once finished, go into God of War Ragnarok.

I used to do the same thing back during 360/PS3 when I was still collecting games. Would buy a bunch, never play any of them and then sell/trade them in. lol.

I won’t rush any of the three games. I may buy Gotham Knights digitally but I haven’t decided on that yet. If I do go digital with it then it gets pushed back to after GOWR and The Callisto Protocol which is December 2nd.

I do, but nothing that is OMGIMUSTPLAYDAYONE. The 10’s are rare for me so to speak.

I’m looking forward to A Plague Tale: Requiem, that is probably closest to that level. There’s other smaller games I will probably have fun with, and some bigger ones destined for sales further ahead in time.

I imagine many devs will be excited about not having to develop for old gen asap

Sony has marketing so i doubt it hits gp

I did not know that - still looking forward to it!

I wonder why Sony did not go after exclusive campaign access.

What makes you think they didn’t try?

I’m starting to thing the exclusivity period is weirdly winding down. It seems so far they only have got early beta access and I am pretty sure they did get some sort of early campaign access for I think the MW2 remaster so this is strange seeing them not getting this early too.

When the leaks about early access came out I just assumed it was a PS advantage bonus. Maybe they will still get something extra announced later on who knows but I seriously thought this would be one of em.
