Yeah, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to be disappointed that we didn’t get to see certain games. It was also completely avoidable had Xbox communicated their 12 month focus beforehand.

That doesn’t mean that we don´t understand the reasons behind that descision, or why games are a bit further out.

People were so adamant they wanted gameplay focus and no CGI. Xbox complies. People complained about too much cgi , none at the show. They bitched about showing games too far off, so they show only what’s coming in the next 12 months. Now people are bitching about Avowed and HellBlade not showing up, lol!

I would argue that maybe the "core community " doesn’t really know what they want. Maybe they should bend to every complaint they have and just put in the type of show they feel works for them.

They want those games to put in a list to brag and engage sony fanboys on Twitter, that by their turn are building their own list. It is a vicious, unending and tiresome cycle. Gamers (some, but a significant amount) are among the most insufferable cry babies I ever saw, complaining virtually on everything, always emphasizing the negatives over the positives. Media also doesn’t help.

Just saw an IGN cut on my YT time-line and they wrote in capital letters “You wont be able to fly seamless throught the space in Starfield”. Although it is true, it is clearly focusing on a negative to engage fanboy wars and increase viewership. They could have foccused on “New Atlanta is biggest city bethesda ever built”. Must be kind of frustrating for developers to see this kind of crap.

Ps: it is ok to be disappointed (I would like to see State of Decay 3 in the showxase), but acting as a rabid dog on social media over this?? Please.

I don’t think Microsoft is ignoring the core community, that makes it sound like a choice. They are not choosing to not have big games available.

Ignoring absolutely not, certainly not their own teams but from third parties this year it was a bit dry, with a few exceptions like Wolong and Diablo 4, it’s not theirs just yet.

I’m just not even going to bother with folks anymore in some places because some of the stuff that’s being said is just laughable really.

But yeah, like you said, criticism about the framerate is warranted, I don’t recall any of their other game reveals ever looking this choppy during the actual gameplay parts but I am sure they’ll smoothen that out. Same with the gunplay or more like hit reactions, this looks decent enough when it works in the deep dive video, but sometimes doesn’t work at all. It should at least be consistent and I bet there will be plenty of gunfights so it should at least be fun too.

The thing some people say that BGS has never been great with combat is true, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t strive to always improve on it. Huge improvement visuals wise, animation, gameplay should too, we shouldn’t settle too easily now.

It’s nice to see.

But I can’t deny I’m pretty frustrated with whoever is in charge with making sure things are handled as they should with Skyrim SE. I mean we are in June and they still have not fixed the completely broken main menu. With my game I just can’t access the mods or creation club sections because it’s pretty much stuck at the main menu. It still is.

Only way to “fix” it is by putting Xbox offline and then the main menu is fine but I can’t access mods and CC section then. Folks on Reddit are convinced now that they aren’t fixing it on purpose so that folks will decide to pay for the upgrade. I really hope that’s not the case but this isn’t good, putting it mildly.

Oh and there will be be even mod quests and companions. I could see someone making their own Mandaorian DLC for Starfield and Xbox will finally have an exclusive Star Wars game
