I might genuinely buy a Samsung TV when I upgrade next and ditch the Xbox.

Cloud streaming is huge, but me personally can’t justify ditching playing natively on console because input lag.

It is not even lag but the issues when it comes to a video feed that you cannot buffer. For some people it will be fine, but for me I need a native experience where internet traffic will not get in the way.

Fair play for ya.

I played Stadia in a dreadful enviroment(poor internet+non native app) and it was almost like playing on the Xbox, so with Microsoft having amazing servers and it being a native app, I’m sure in my circumstance it will be like native. I just dislike hardware for games a lot lately which is why I mostly game on my phone as of late.

I guess from now on it will be more about subscription counts rather than console sales numbers.

Microsoft really needs to add back the store on xbox app because don’t think there is a way to buy games on mobile unless you use browser.

Cloud makes games like flight sim possible with huge map data. I think it will unlock new possibilities and multiplayer games performance will greatly benefit.

Stadia was very decent for sure, I used it for a month via Edge browser on Xbox. And I think Stadia can do 4K/60fps or higher? But probably not without hiccups.

My brother is primary GPU user so only he can use XCloud and he told me it isn’t great at all on his Apple devices. But I’ve heard from others with Android that it’s surprisingly good. But it’s probably gonna take a few years before we can really put native gaming and streaming side by side and where it’s either near or identical.

I want my Xbox games to look and play the best they can and I don’t see streaming topping what native can do.

Being able to stream games you own outside of the game pass subscription is really good, but I wonder if some publishers won’t allow it.

They’re kind of limited because of the Google and Apple Tax, where 30% of anything sold within an App would go to them.

Already seeing tweets that ā€œthis is why people don’t go out and buy a Xbox.ā€ heh, I guess all those Series X and S consoles that have been bought by folks aren’t Xbox consoles then. :joy:

Lag varies between countries and locations and internet connections. For some people it is pretty native.

The joke is on them because the industry is moving fast to a place where platforms are device agnostic and in the future an Xbox and PS is just one of many ways to access the platform.

Who said Xbox isn’t serious about gaming. They’re not playing anymore. Pun intended.
