JorRaptor reported that there could be a free mini-DLC like Odyssey had which is like a cross-over with Valhalla. AC Odyssey had new content added late last year for free which I will eventually get to. Reason being is that the woman who did the voice acting for Aya was reportedly back at Ubisoft earlier this year for a recording session which would make sense since the rumor has you playing as Aya.
I was always hoping for an expansion or a main line game taking place after Origins in Rome where you play as Aya but it obviously didn’t happen.
Hahahahaha. I would easily take that and be very happy. Love Origins!!!
If the only basis is the voice actress having some involvement this could also point to something for their upcoming live service AC, since the plan seems to be to jump around and tell smaller stories following a wider range of characters and settings - I could see there being a follow-up on Origins following a character close to Aya given her importance in the lore. That said, I do think DLC for Origins seems more likely.
Only problem is that AC Infinity is at least two years away if not further out so not much reason to have Aya do voice acting so far in advance.
Have to wait and see what it is but I do prefer a new AC game every two years.
What im hoping is they reboot the series from the oldest time period and keep advancing until you get to a full present day game and that would be the finale. Of course, I doubt Ubisoft would ever end AC unless it just starts to completely bomb.
I like how in RDR2 I can get into fist fights without someone either telling on me or the law coming only at me.
In fact I had this guy after me and I walked into the sheriff’s office and the guy punched me. The sheriff didn’t do a thing. I punched back and the sheriff just watched on. You can just knock a fool out as long as you don’t kill him.
Please have this in GTA 6. It’s the biggest annoyance in 5 how you just can’t defend yourself at all without them cops coming after you.
I’m personally quite interested to see how it turns out, the biggest and most consistent problem people have with modern Assassin’s Creed is just the sheer overwhelming size of these games. I think this format of “multiple smaller games in one” could be really beneficial to the franchise as a result as well as giving them more flexibility as to the types of stories and the locations they explore. Of course, as a full on live service game I think a lot of it is going to come down to just how aggressive the live service elements of the game are.
That’s where I differ, I don’t see that as a problem. I love huge worlds with lots to discover, there are enough small games for those who only wants that without ruining everything in the chase of the "my attention span is about 2 hours"-crowd.
