i think it more that Nintendo had the time to let their pipeline mature while xbox had to be rebuilt and expanded upon when they started to acquire studios in 2017-2018 now plus with how long game development is especially for new ip it’s a challenge
F for Asura’s Wrath conclusion.
Never said Nintendo devs weren’t talented so again not sure why you are saying that. How do people think a new Mario Party/ Mario Tennis or any Nintendo game to be honest, is the same sort of development as creating something like Starfield, Halo or Gears.
We definitely can’t compare titles like Halo Infinite, which are more like the GTA games, to many of these Nintendo titles. But I do think MS could learn from Nintendo and Sony.
I mention Sony because Demon Souls PS5 was an old game with a new coat of paint, something MS could have done with say, Conker Live & Reloaded (which was a remaster of Bad Fur Day). Miles Morales was essentially extended DLC for Spiderman and MS could have released HiveBusters in a similar fashion.
Nintendo releases smaller scoped titles like Metroid Dread but they’re highly acclaimed experiences.
Having Certain Affinity work on a Halo BR using the Infinite engine is a smart move. It reminds me of when MS got Playground Games to use T10’s Forzatech engine to create an entire new series.
I think there are shortcuts/efficiencies that can be taken /made to increase high quality output. And on top of that, maybe MS should also make smaller games. Battletoads had promise but fell flat, but more like that.
The other thing is that Nintendo isn’t shy in milking their franchises. I think the world is ready for another Viva Piñata game. It could even be a lucrative GaaS game, as distasteful as it may sound to some people. But Rare doesn’t like retreading ground. So maybe MS should look at getting a support studio to make one. Same with Banjo.
Yeah Xbox can sure learn from them all, we do seem to forget these companies have been in the console gaming space much longer so they know what really works and they have hardcore fan bases (not a bad thing) and I don’t think Xbox could just copy what Nintendo or Sony does because they don’t have that same legacy/history so they do often get dragged over the coals for things.
I’ve said it a million times myself Xbox does need to do more of everything.
It’s not back compat. Weird that it was relisted though.
We don’t have to lower ourselves to this troll’s level to prove anything, we are always saying here how indies/AA and budget isn’t everything (and rightfully so) and now you sound like a Sony “AAAA or it doesn’t matter!” fanboy just because you had to respond to a troll post made in bad faith. Dude pls…
It’s no secret that a lot of Nintendo’s games are made with much less resources and time than AAA games, and it’s no secret that they do quite a lot of repackaged re-releases, it’s not underplaying talent or difficulty of development. And I agree that Nintendo should be more inspirational in making mechanically precise, fun focused polished games.
Sigh
Seems like the point of the post got lost in the jest for some
And because I am really tired with the “concerns” about Xbox/Game Pass lately here and in social media anyone who thinks that Xbox or Game Pass isn’t worth it and in the first chance throws PS5 and/or Switch lists (often way off-topic) should get a PS5 or a Switch and have some fun if he/she is so interested in those system’s line-ups (an announcement on twitter might be a good idea too)…isn’t life simple?
It’s ok to be annoyed at the BS on Twitter but no need to take it out on me
I agree with what Grubb once said though, he said we should be asking where’s Microsoft’s Super Mario Galaxy competitor, not where’s their God of War competitor
I have never disagreed more lol
Mario party style game with Xbox IP when? Each board can be themed on maps/levels from each game.
It’s ok to be annoyed at some troll (flag his posts and move on) but there’s no need on belittling Nintendo’s stellar 1st party output on the Switch (and their importance in the industry as a whole) just because a troll wanted to steer things up, it was clearly a post not worth responding to.
Well you are kinda getting a sad mom simulator with Hellblade 2 so let us get what we want too!
Sad daughter more like
