And Dying Light 2 is an excellent first person game, with a melee combat that really works. Will be great in a fantasy setting I bet.

Fun fact, Doa 5 actually has a story mode in a similar vein to Mortal Kombat, it pretty decent, I think the 3DS game had it before which served as a franchise revival. DOA 6 story is a massive backstep though, that game is really rough on content as if they had to rush it out.

I liked it as well but I hope this one expands on the mechanical variety. I read an article that said Asobo is challenging the Naughty Dog crown or something like that which was very surprising to read honestly, Naughty Dog are the standard in those games. Asobo must not get away from MS man, a rare versatile studio that excels on wildly different game genres as well.

I agree. Asobo Studio is great and I do think Requiem will expand on the first game. More puzzles, more exploration, a little more open area wise and of course, they added pure combat which wasn’t really in Innocence. I don’t know about challenging Naughty Dog who despite two of their last three games disappointing me, they’re still easily a top 5 development studio in the industry.

I disagree. If anything, it’s exactly what Sony should do if possible. Microsoft fucked up and Sony can take advantage of that. It’s what companies who are in competition with other companies should do. Sony (and Nintendo for that matter) want to dominate and aren’t Microsoft’s friend. But Microsoft for whatever reason likes to treat them as they are when they’re not.

I’m sticking with March 2023 because I don’t think the game will be fully ready and because I do see this game being the first one to get released on PC the same day which is why I have been saying March 2023 since they revealed the game with the logo trailer in September 2020.

If it does release this year and on November 11th, that wouldn’t surprise me at all. I know one thing for sure - if it does, it becomes the favorite to win my 2022 game of the year but would have to surpass Dying Light 2 for me which is easier said than done.

With that said, releasing God of War Ragnarok on November 11th could also bite Sony in the ass because COD MW 2, Hogwarts and Avatar are all expected to release in November. The first two games have marketing deals with Sony so it would be very interesting to see what happens.

COD not being on PlayStation hurts Sony a lot. And yes, Sony wants COD. It makes them a shit ton of money. That guy is delusional. SMH. Either way, it helps Microsoft and Xbox 100% so that’s all that should matter.

Yeah, people here got incredibly mad after Halo Infinite was revealed to be first person.

It’s fine to think that some games just work better in 3rd person, like Indiana Jones for example.

Because Sony is a partner to Microsoft proper. Essentially Sony is a client of Microsoft and that’s why Microsoft does not act aggressively towards Sony.

It is the same situation as with Amazon - due to AWS, Amazon does not try to do jabs at Netflix or Disney+ regarding their Prime Video service, while Netflix and Disney+ can compete with each other.

Perhaps but in my eyes, one thing has nothing to do with the other. Sony is a partner because they obviously need better cloud services so it goes both ways. I would take my shots at Sony and PlayStation because why not? If Sony doesn’t like it, leave and go to Amazon or someone else for your cloud services. After all, Sony needs Microsoft a hell of a lot more than Microsoft needs Sony.
