I’m not so sure.
Truly all the more reason to go aggressive too, they really really should because majority being indies is just not going to cut it because like you said…first party won’t be carrying it anytime soon.
June could have A plague tale Requiem, if that release date was real, if not, it remains to be seen what June has.
We all thought that as soon as Sony is going to try and compete with Game Pass we’re gonna see a even more aggressive MS, well…lets see it. Clearly Sony isn’t competing when it comes to having first party on it day and date, but when it comes to all other games…
I asked for PS+ June games. The thing is, while it looks decent, I’m still skeptical in the long run. Sony is all about the sprint, not the marathon. I won’t name things again where they try and give up later. So I remain skeptical.
They have all the reasons to be more aggressive but I just don’t see it. Sony is very keen on moneyhatting and seem to be able to outbid Xbox in the third party space allready, with PS+ it will only get worse as they now will compete in that regard too. They allready kept games away from GP before, i.e RE Village. Now, they have even more reasons to do so.
Yeah I see what you mean.
But a lot of people seemed convinced that as soon as Sony becomes a “danger” to Game Pass we’re gonna see a change. MS may not care much for money hatting third party releases not meant for GP(even though I wish they did, especially with these unexpected droughts), but they SHOULD come with the big bucks for Game Pass. Well, I hope. Let’s start with Tales of Arise. We had Scarlet Nexus relatively soon on the service, Tales is a much bigger IP, but it’s been like what…9 months now since release?
Let’s hope we’re gonna see a change since the big titles have been moved outside of 2022.
Gonna be honest this reads so dreadful I hope you’re kinda joking. Competition make competition stronger is 101 and Sony isn’t doing this in the first place if it wasn’t for GP. GP will be better the more competition it has.
Also, y’all are focusing on not getting some the games you want (understandable) to dismiss how GP literally gets MLB day one, a game Sony make (yes I understand you don’t care but it’s a big thing).
Again, with competition things will get even better. That’s one of the reasons we’ve wanted Sony to enter the competition as soon as possible.
My condolences to you and your family.
This is what I expect too, we just gotta wait and see now.
Really hoping Ubisoft+ as a separate subscription service still comes to Xbox but for some reason, I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t. If it’s not announced during the Game Fest/Xbox Showcase week, then im no longer expecting it.
But they already said that it’s coming back in Jan when they announced Rainbow Six Extraction
Anyone plays Overwatch experienced sudden disconnects from the server today? Been booted out of 3 games straight today
It seems classic game selection is mainly Sony’s first party titles and the PS1 and PS2 content was mainly third parties - companies like Konami, Capcom, Square was making the games for Sony. Guess, they are some licensing issues (music and other stuff) for old games.
I still believe that, but we don’t know for now as it has not launched officially.
Nah, Microsoft demonstrated time and time again that they are not engaging in stuff like this. Acquisitions - they will gladly overbid everybody if necessary, but third party content they won’t own? Not really.
We are entering the era of the subscription wars
While we might not be there yet it wont be long before subscriptions become the dominant way people consume games and it’s why things like the ABK acquisition and CoD will be more important than ever, it wont be about one box being better than the other but rather one sub having something the other does not
and yes, it’s good that Sony are actually making some kind of effort here, means we get a better service in GP and likely more acquisitions
Am I misremembering or did GP already have RDR2? It wasn’t for long, that’s what I also remember, but it was on there nonetheless. But Plus means you get to keep the games as long as you stay subbed, right? Sony must have payed quite a bit then, I would assume.
Honestly AC Valhalla I had expected to be on GP by now too.
It did . Idk about the last part tho .
Yes GP had RDR2.
And no the PS Plus collection (or whatever it’s called) is not sub-tied ownership like monthly PS+/Gold, but more like Game Pass and PSNow.
Ok, that is good to know. I had not done a lot of research into Sony’s plans myself. Thanks.
What? RDR2 is not a part of PS+ no? Just available on a higher tier.
Website Wccftech is being a little misleading. They say Ubi+ is for PS Plus subscribers, but Ubi literally themselves say more info later.
