This is so awesome to see!
good stuff
His movie tastes are pretty good tbh.
Does this mean I will lose access to ādev modeā? I was going to add retroarch to my Xbox but havenāt even got around to it yet. It was $20 for dev mode, can they just take it away?
Hello Gamepadx,
This email is to inform you that we have recently disabled the Windows & Xbox enrollment in your Microsoft Partner Center account. This step was taken because the account does not have an active presence in the Store. For reference, see the Developer Code of Conduct which says that all developer accounts must maintain an ongoing presence in the Store.
Please contact ReportApp@microsoft.com if you would like to have your enrollment reenabled. They will activate your account upon request and reevaluate for an active presence after three months.

General Resources
Oh no think about FIFA.
Very hyped for Gotham Knights especially that itās current generation only. For 2022, I should at the very least have 5 current generation only games and 5 cross-generation games for the year.
Hmm, do you think T2 grabs this and calls it FIFA2K? That might put the fear of god into EA
I wonder if EA might start doing this with all their properties, it would probably save them a fortune.
- EA Sports FC (FIFA)
- EA Sports AFC (NFL)
- EA Sports Hockey (NHL)
- EA Sports Golf (PGA)
Why would T2 want it? FIFA owns nothing except the name. Everything else has to be negotiated with clubs and other things separately.
This seems to be a normal process where they clean up inactive dev accounts. I canāt quite find the info from when this happened before, but there were some general pointers on what to do periodically to keep your ādev accountā as active and not falling into the cleanup sweeps.
Itās a solid thing to see them not caving into the outrageous FIFA license cost with no benefits.
I donāt think EA would do that with the other games because thereās actual benefits for the license, where as with FIFA there were none at all.
You can install Retroarch without devmode
So I get EA already has partnerships with each league, but who do they negotiate with to get national team rights? Do they just make a deal with each governing body like UEFA?
No it is all individually done including the playersā union.
Ok so they individually negotiate with each country?
Can EA still negotiate with the individual governing bodies for like CONCACAF and UEFA to keep shit like the Champions League despite those individual bodies essentially are what make up FIFA?
Weāll revisit this when you end up loving Top Gun 2 when you go see it.
Yep $150 million per year over a 10 year contract is ridiculous, especially for nothing but the name.
You would hope NFL, NHL and PGA would see what happened to FIFA and ensure they negotiate fairly going forwards too.
