If they can’t hit the lower VRR window in the first place it’s not using VRR. That’s why they require patches.

You are stuck with LFC… I am simply saying vrr works without patch. I Understand that without patch it is simply half baked and only works from 48fps

I’m talking from a user perspective specifically on the PS5. It seems beyond half-baked if a game is going in and out of VRR windows. Maybe to the point where it’s worse than not having VRR in the first place?
EDIT: To add to this, VRR on other platforms “just works”.

Looks like they figured out the series PoP:SoT requires more than a middling budget remake and that studio wasn’t as capable of doing so without high level of risk?

Pedantically on PS5 it works without patches – but with the caveat that it depends on appropriate definitions of “works”. Works - yes. Works as desired - not really.

That’s sucks. Probably means another 2-4 years before we see it then.
The game Furi is getting a PS5 version and DLC… It is not coming to Xbox Series nor is it getting the DLC. Even Switch is. The game IS on Xbox One already.
So this makes me wonder some reasons for this

Publishing a DLC / next gen patch on Xbox costs way more than anywhere else (I guess we would have heard about this by now if it was the case, but the only complaint I still see is high minimum print run for physical)

ID@Xbox (this game is) is actually a headache to work with (I only list this because of that one Japanese 3D platformer game (Tasomachi) where the dev said he cancelled it on Xbox because of “technical issues” and not wanting to deal with all sorts of weird MS store policies)

They make a lot of money made by their dedicated mobile teams and they will continue to make them under Xbox but they will no doubt make games for PC/Console too going forward

Yeah I saw that earlier and it is weird seeing again the Xbox version being botched, plus what makes it even more weird is that their second game also launched on Game Pass…a recent, similar situation was Blasphemous which added extra content as a free update just fine on Xbox so what the hell is the problem here?
If the excuse is that it didn’t sold as much on Xbox as on the other platforms…I am starting to get tired of this excuse. This can save them some money short term but the only thing that such a stance is doing is making me avoid buying anything from this developer again from now on (even on my Switch) so I don’t think that this is a smart move long term.
