Nah Lego Star Wars on Series S with Game Pass
Didnāt xbox do the every game needs a demo thing and developers hated it? I believe that was during the 360
For Arcade games I believe, yeah
Yep every game had to have a demo, it was honestly something I personally apprenticed though
DIsagree, this is good for consumers for the most part, but I feel itās awful for devs. However very crappy to make this a premium tier feature.
puting demos behind a paywall isnāt pro consumer
I think there is already a notion that somehow is not behind the paywall. A lot of people run with it as if it is Steam refund feature on Playstatio.
Donāt be surprised if in a few months some people here on this forum will also ask the XBOX to do the same with Game Pass.
Yeah, I hear you I think idea of it is pro consumer, but half baked making it behind paywall, so I agree on that part. I just feel they should jut revamp refund system, and if I were a dev I would be unhappy
I mean some games would need more than 2 hours sometimes to get into it. Plus, if you stick around and leave it pause for urgent moment, you might be screwed. Give me full games and have developers treated right.
So they force devs to do their homework (timer should be part of the os/store), gate this work behind a paywall and then they get all the money from Premium Plus? How scummy is that?
Yes, every 360 Arcade game had to have a Demo. I loved it, tried out lots of stuff. Devs hated it though.
Nice to see him doing live. Might be one time but still neat nonetheless.
Good thing Playstation is at the top and should have no competition, that way more things like this can happen, Iām sure devs are very happy with this change. Playstation is the leader for a reason.
Maybe weāll be in for a hell of a ride and get to see to see Microsoft/Activision/Blizzard tell Sony to Get Rekt with their forced free labor for Sony Paywall. āGuess you donāt want any future COD/Diablo games, Sonyā
Supposedly, there are games from PS Now that are leaving next month. Over 50 games. Not sure if itās true, so Iāll keep this mind. Many from Sega and Konami. A bit ironic.
Probably has something to do with the transition to the ānewā service. Either they didnāt want to be a part of it, maybe new contracts need to be drawn up/approved. Could be any number of things.
Edit: Although the games getting removed probably lends more credence to the Konami IPs getting bought up Sony.
Well the Sega games seem to be mainly Sonic games which lines up with Sega delisting all non-Origins versions of those games.
That trial thing will be very problematic for AA/niche devs.
Thereās shmup games generally cost over $30 despite being only a half hour long usually (these are actually extremely difficult to develop games but has a cult fanbase so they donāt mind paying).
Beat em ups too though this genre is usually much cheaper so maybe will not be affected
Thereās JRPGs where sometimes nothing happens in the first 2 hours, not even a battle.
I assume itās some easy code Sony does where itās the full game and it just closes after 2 hours. It will be immensely even more problematic if itās an actual trial that will take dev time to build.
And then thereās the issue where devs are not paid to make these trials⦠They just have to do it.
