Also maybe, just maybe, they should stop trying to piss off the entire anime community with these asinine live action attempts that so far have been unimpressive to put it lightly. They already destroyed Death Note and Cowboy Beebop. Next on the list is One Piece, then Yu Yu Hakusho and Gundam after that. If they mess up all three (which they have given me zero indication to think otherwise) the subscriber losses will be vastly larger.
Youāre giving way too much credit to that lol
Yeah probably, but for real though, itās just ridiculous they plan to keep doing them
lol PC.
The price increase and so much content aimed at⦠I honestly donāt know who, not me at least is what made Netflix go from being a staple service to a month here and there sub for me. Been subbed for 10 years, but the amount of sheit they produce and try to charge more for finally reached a point where I had to ask what Iām paying for.
@saintsflow20 do you feel it? Persona is closer and closer by the minute to xbox and switch.
I get it. If I didnt share subscription services with my parents and my sisterās family, I would simply be rotating through the free trials or cheap month deals. Its a lot harder (impossible) trying to get 8 people on the same content rotation schedule.
If content providers get too greedy Iāll simply go back to finding them via other magical means like everyone else I know does.
Yeah, I have also noticed a significant increase in people around me flying the Jolly Roger⦠I think this is starting to remind people of cable tv of old with 100 different services to keep track of subs etc. on. Itās going back to missing the point of what made Netflix popular in the first place.
Netflix as a service, UX and streaming backed, and global support, is unmatched. Plenty of great content too honestly even though itās buried within a sea of garbage, I especially like thier documentary library. But still, I only use someone elseās account, I wouldnāt pay for it myself.
I mean, I would also keep it for free⦠lol.
Netflix has a number of problems
-
The content they put out just isnāt very good most of the time
-
More and more competition by the day, Disney+, HBO, Amazon and with things like superhero stuff being so popular thats hard to compete with
-
They already have what, 200+ million subscribers? At what point do you get to until it doesnāt matter how good your content is, youāve simply reached the maximum number of people you can reach for whatever reason, some beyond your control
-
The only have the one revenue stream, gaming as a sub works so much better for Xbox because they not only have you sub, but you can buy the games, dlc, microtransactions etc with Netflix or other TV streaming you dont have that, Prime is also much better situated in this regard than Disney/Netflix
and trying to counter all these problems by upping the price, not gonna work Netflix
Some Netflix exec reading this.
āWe need NFTsā
Iād be very surprised if it hasnāt already been talked about
I donāt know if anyone else if following the Depp vs Heard trail, but Johnny on the stand today told the funniest and creepiest story about his ex. Apparently the daily task that Amber set for herself was to take off his boots and give him a glass of wine after a day of work. One day Johnny saw she was busy doing other things so he decided to do it himself, which whatever not a big deal one would think. Amber was not having any of it and said to his face āno no no, thatās my job, thatās what I do, you donāt do that, I do thatā. Then he explains to her that itās fine donāt worry, she then had a look on her face that was āvisibly shakenā. This girl is out of pocket
They need to focus on better content, content is king whether that is tv or games and will solve most of the other issues.
Was definitely a cool moment
Technically Netflix also do DVD still too.
I imagine they also make a tonne of money from advertising and product placement (I have seen they previously state they donāt, but conflicting reports state they get paid up to $500,000 per company for each series).
Why donāt they open their own digital store front? Yes, it would only be for content they own, but they will have to put more effort into their stuff to get more people to buy it. I know I would buy Army of the dead and its prequels and sequels if they were available in digital format.
Thatās because MS should have called it Platform Xā¦box.
