Of course they would. And the people who want it would be hounding them about where is it then; when it it coming; why didn’t you release it when the game launched; why didn’t you dely the game until this was ready, etc. etc. I’ll give the Halo fanbase credit. They may suck, but they are a diverse group with subgroupes within it that suck for different reasons from each other
I’ll say as someone who didn’t need Infinite to have a BR mode, I would very much like there to eventually be one. And always wanted this to be the way it’s done, it it does happen. With a seperate dev team having the wheel and doing either as it’s own thing with it’s own online client, or put in to the main game’s client, but a seperate mode. Or as both those things at once, like with COD Warzone

And this can be played by anyone, not only PC but Xbox too?
I haven’t tried it yet on Xbox yet
But so far I haven’t seen anything which runs on PC only
Problem with this is if it takes off, it becomes number one priority at the detriment of the classic Halo modes.

should not be a problem if Certain Affinity is solely responsible for it. It does not have to be one or the other.

Yeah. CE is really big. I guess even bigger than a lot of Microsoft studios too?
They are 250+, so not huge but a decent size.

IS PROJECT EVE A PS5 EXCLUSIVE?
Previously, the developers have stated that the game is intended to be released for PC, PS4, PS5 Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Recent messaging is focused exclusively on the PS5 version, though, so it might be exclusive in some form. The developers will clarify this as we get closer to launch.
Hopefully just marketing stuff at worst.

Wouldn’t really be a surprise, as there have been games announced for Xbox that Sony has money hatted before.
But see Microsoft trying to do that with Diablo 4 and suddenly internet and media will riot 
If Diablo 4 is coming to last gen console, they should skip Playstation 5 version like they did with Psychonauts 2.
I think Deathloop was one. Had systems announced already.
It would be interesting to see, but Microsoft tries to keep a good working relationship with everyone, from the press to their rivals in business. So, they wouldn’t try something like this unless they were funding the games current Gen version.
