Everything you said is 100% doable without expensive moves like SE or Atlus would ask. I guess the answer is the usual “diminishing returns”. Everything except the 1st party title, I guess Scalebound scare them away from contracting someone over there.
Yeah that’s being reflected a bit https://twitter.com/ShoulderWinter/status/1481537922411208705 Gunvolt Chronicles 2 is something I’m very excited for, because I’m just an Inti Creates nut (which is why you can still spot me whining over Xbox banning Gal Gun from them lol). Cogen looks great as well (and has crossover content with Gunvolt)
This looks pretty
Any metroidvania?
Thank you for taking the time to investigate and report your findings. I always try to take rumors with a big grain of salt but as far as I’m concerned this is entirely worth discarding if it’s a guess, even an educated one. Doesn’t mean it won’t be true but not worth fretting about.
If you build it, they will come. While Atlus and Square with FF (and maybe other) are still up in the air, others are coming in and that’s a progress.
Among those? No. Gunvolt is basically like a souped up Mega Man X/Mega Man Zero (makes sense, Inti IS the MMZ devs). You pick your stages like in Mega Man and get boss powerups at the end of levels then do a final set of levels. I actually don’t know too much about Cogen other than it’s a similar type of game (it isn’t Inti Creates). There’s actually a demo on the Xbox store for it though.
As for upcoming vanias all I know is that Bloodstained is getting a sequel (which I liked, just hope it has better art/graphic direction this time).
There is another “Touhou” metroidvania (it is not from Team Ladybug who made the one currently in Game Pass) coming to Switch/Steam soon. It’s actually a port of an old 2000s fan game. Looks really fantastic, like a direct rip off of the DS Castlevanias (which is a huge compliment). I wanna see that come over here lol
Thanks for the info, I should try that Touhou metroidvania in GP, I didn’t know it was a game of this genre.
Griffin’s new video is some good shit, he’s covering Amazing Lucas so you know it’s going to be embarrassing.
I needed some good laughs and I sure as hell got em…
“They don’t explain who the Master or Halo Chief is or whatever his name is. They don’t explain who the blue lady is.”
Or…
“And all these enemies look the same, you got a blue Banshee here, and the other one wears a red armor and they are being controlled by another banshee.”
He thinks the enemies are Banshees
Last but not least…he says it’s a game made for Xbox gamers, for Halo players.
YOU THINK?
I think Imran Khan mentioned it as well and said he confused it with the exclusive demo. Not even Sony wants to pay for this PS3/360 game.
also act man is doing a video on fanboy salt soon but yea Lucas is a
But nobody wanted the S . .
Maybe PS can borrow the Grounded team and put them on hardware?
As much as I don’t like him after him being hypocritical about timed exclusives and blocking me he’s right Microsoft’s strategy is paying off
With the success of series s does this mean going forward we’ll have tiered consoles at launch? I don’t oppose the idea since we haven’t really had any evidence of series s holding back series x, and I do feel options are always good.
Xbox is into catering for everyone so most likely yeah. Helps them cover casual and hardcore enthusiasts.
I know it may cause confusion, but would be cool if this is the idea going forward they will have both disc and digital options for series s/x.
Considering how high the digital ratio is on xbox, they will never have a disc option for a series s style system
A digital only Series X feels inevitable though, not until they can get their stock issues sorted and the cost of production comes down, getting rid of the drive will only save them so much but they’d have to knock it down to $399 for it to make sense so right now its just not worth it
the talk about the digital transition Xbox is freaky. Will there be an Xbox generation that eventually doesn’t have a disc drive? If that’s the case, that’s going to be quite a sad day.
Now granted I haven’t bought a physical Xbox disc since 2015, I took part in a Target buy two get one free promotion. I picked up Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5. Xbox went hard advertising those three games.
