Well, we will. I mean we have more japanese games launching day 1 on Xbox since the beginning of this gen than they whole last gen combined.

I think it’s a combination of Persona 5 success in the west and them dipping their toes into PC and seeing success with Persona 4 Golden.

Yeah, then why multi billion dollar companies from Japan “don’t have the funds” (like we read many times) to make Xbox ports or concurrent Xbox releases, while random indie dev from Poland can?

Well, studios have to get some free time to port the games after all, and they have their own roadmaps. After ATVI deal I am 100% sure that they attitude towards Xbox won’t be the same anymore.

That’s a big reach, imo it’s only a closed minded issue from some entities, because I’m not seeing Bandai Namco or SEGA crashing and burning while they support Xbox.

Some of them struggle to support the Switch and that’s a massive install base even. For example the recent Demon Slayer game skipped Switch initially despite the fact that according to surveys the overwhelming majority of people in Japan wanted it on Switch. Now it’s only coming to Switch this June.

Microsoft was disengaged from Japan last generation and is now starting work with Japanese studios again. It takes a bit of time to build trust and relationships look at Yakuza it went from PlayStation exclusive to now Xbox association with game pass and marketing. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next few years Altus games have Xbox marketing and all are on game pass which would have been seen as impossible a few years ago.

Yeah, I think younger generation is much more open towards western market and other platforms.
