Well there’s a showcase this month, too soon to tell…
That Forspoken release date… The hype for Starfield will be astronomical by then. That game will be swallowed by the Starfield marketing campaign going on by that point.
Not to mention from the gameplay videos, people are pretty unimpressed with Forspoken.
The $70 price point is also unpopular. PC players especially will not pay that.

If we’re talking just full/timed exclusives, both platforms have had droughts. There is Ghostwire Tokyo later this month if you’re interested. Forspoken being delayed is great for me though because depending on how the Fall shapes out to be, it could be one of the games that simply gets eliminated from my list just based on there being too many games coming out at the same time and simple process of elimination.

Well, we have had Horizon, Ghostwire and GT7 since the beginning of the year.

If GoWR releases later half or next year, then after Ghostwire, drought begins. Lucky for them, they had moneyhat some games because realistically, the period would have been longer. In other words, moneyhat games are carrying them as of now.
Also only a month-possibly only a couple weeks after Xenoblade 3, and of course Fall is just always a packed release zone anyway. This game will be drowned out for sure.
Biggest flaw is that $70 price. Tons of most likely better games will be coming out around the same time for less.
It’s going to be a lot worse than Guardians. Only one platform that’s completely new and for now, hardly any marketing. Babylon’s Fall the Single Player edition? Okay, maybe not that bad…

Let’s see…since the consoles launched.
Sony had Miles, Souls Remake and Sackboy at launch. Returnal in April 2021 and Ratchet in June 2021. HFW this past February and GT 7 a few days ago. Thus far, one eight month drought between Ratchet and HFW.
Microsoft had Gears Tactics at launch. Flight Simulator in July, Psychonauts 2 in August, FH 5 in November and Halo Infinite in December. Thus far, one eight month drought between Tactics and Flight Sim.
Like I said, both have had droughts. It is what it is.

I have nothing nice to say about Forspoken.
I guess Final Fantasy is definitely not releasing this year
Babylon could be why it was delayed lol. They might be polishing it to a sheen to avoid another metascore disaster.
But $70 will kill it no matter what they do.
I find it odd for some to think it is to escape the monster that is Elden Ring. The thing is, Forspoken was going to be released after over 2 months. It’s not to say Elden Ring would be forgotten, but people will be okay with a new release by then. It must be a cope talking but whatever.
Babylon’s Fall fail was more on gameplay design as in boring and repetitive. Forspoken can still hit that wall despite the fidelity polish. Well, we’ll see but apparently, it’s now their main event title unless FFXVI miraculously appear late, but after this delay, any release date would have me skeptical than reassured.
That’s why I find it ridiculous people getting worked up over Xbox being quiet because Sony launched some games, did people not see what happened last year, it’s going to be a copy and paste of that most likely.

And a month before starfield… By that time bethesde hype machine would already be at full steam.
Slightly related but a 4chan “leak” a few days ago correctly predicted Forspoken’s delay and what month it’s delayed to (could be a lucky guess), and listed some other release dates
If God of War’s is real it likely means that Sony event is this month and will announce it.
