So that’s a scummy/dishonest move on PlayStation part, and don’t you think journalists know about that. They should have waited for reviewing the game after the MTs went live. Or maybe they are afraid that Sony being a market leader would blacklist them. I am not complaining about the game but the journalistic practices and ethics, where there are different yardsticks for different platforms, and this keeps on repeating.

No, we don’t know how a game is going to implement MTX post-launch.

… I would say he’s overacting all things considered. I mean Elder Scrolls fans have been waiting since 2011 for new content while Fallout fans have had 2 games, an incredibly successful mobile game, a tv show on the horizon, a board game, a tabletop RPG, and a rumored sequel to a game that many people regard as the greatest RPG of all time. Compare this to Elder Scrolls fans who have gotten an MMO, a card game, and a mobile game. Both of which aren’t supported anymore. Hell, we barely have any information on TES6 other than a 30 second teaser and a scribble in the Starfield trailer that suspiciously looks like Hammerfell and High Rock So yes I would say he’s overreacting, sure a new game would be cool but could we at least get TES6 or Starfield first before clamoring for another Fallout.

Agreed fully. 76 has become a fun game and has a good fanbase.

Personally I wouldnt be suprised if a new fallout tactics game came out the fanbase wouldnt be pleased.

Let fallout rest until a team wants to work on the ip and it will be worth the wait for a mainline game.

Like, I agree with you, and Sony games and studios were overpraised and used a lot to sh*t on other games and developers, I’ve always hated when that happened. I’ve always talked against putting some developers on a pedestal of superiority. However, the fact that we saw that and hated it happening to other devs, especially Xbox devs who imo were underappreciated a lot last gen, should also give us the perspective that we shouldn’t do it “back” because it really helps no one. There’s a reason Phil said what he said recently about “weaponizing” games and developers.

Some folks never move on from the mindset of getting “payback”, it is what it is.
