XboxEra Community Hangout |OT6| New Year, Same Three Topics

I guess you can call it a PS Now fodder, am I right? But seriously, it’s a bit ironic that it doesn’t have co-op yet it could have helped in many ways despite being decent on its own. Great review.

Thanks, was trying to keep the quality of the writing/reading/video up since I did it all within a few hours after beating the game.

Honestly, that’s how I feel. Those are some triggering words though.

If Horizon 2 is like the first one, it’s gonna have some short legs lol I played the entirety of the introduction from the first game (until they finally let me out of the first land mass) and I gotta say it isn’t very good

I tried playing Ghost of Tsushima as well and man, too much cinematics… and Horizon feels like GoT with robot dinosaurs :t_rex: maybe it’s just me who has 160+ hours in AC Valhalla and 120+ hours in AC Odyssey that got tired of the formula lol

I love God of War though

I can’t even dismiss people that complain about no games on xbox but I am like almost done with Yakuza 7 and have 3 options what to play next :joy:

I could play Elden Ring, soon GOTG or the Mass Effect trilogy :sob::joy: I took more than two months to complete Yakuza 7:upside_down_face: with that tempo I might will take until Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for completing all of these games lol

Regardless xbox got no games :stuck_out_tongue:

Is the Xboxera community game of the year never happening or did it already happen? Lol

@SuikerBrood you should now🤔

A cinematic action-adventure game with light RPG elements. Not surprised. Even modern AC games is more RPGey than this series.

Platinum and Square churning out shit… who would have guessed.

Platinum really need to move to another engine.

I’m obviously not going to defend Babylon’s Fall (in fact I’m probably the most ruthless person towards the game here), but the last time that combo happened resulted in one of the most fondly remembered games of last decade, you know.

I blame Square for this fuck up, but if Bayo 3 is a turd I’ll change my tune.

But I believe for Nier they had Yoko Taro at helm no?

Skyrim legs? Doubt, simply because of the modding.

And the director of Babylon is Metal Gear Rising’s director, and it was looking pretty Platinum quality in early trailers, so it seems like so I wouldn’t say quite yet Platinum is some trashy developer

Again Bayo 3 will prove if they still have talent. Astral Chain was good (not great, though reviewers gave it high 80s) but good fun, and that wasn’t long ago.

If Metal Gear Rising was developed the same way as Babylon’s Fall, then something more to it is missing.

Was there a big exodus of devs in Platinum or what? or did they just lose their talent out of thin air? Kaito directed both MGR and Transformers and I’d say that considering the dev time and budget both games turned out great so the dude is clearly talented.

Also the last few games from Platinum are Astral Chain (which is great), Nier Automata (again awesome) and the TW101 remaster (which was a decent remaster of an amazing game). It’s a little premature and a bit of a knee jerk reaction to even doubt Bayonetta 3 because of one failed game that was in dev hell (plus any possible budget constraints e.t.c.). A developer doesn’t magically turn into shit for one failed project.

lol

new BC batch announced?
