XboxEra Community Hangout |OT6| New Year, Same Three Topics

Oh shit, they show two additional players to travel alongside you. I thought it would only be one extra player.

Also, that samurai armor is dope AF

Exactly. It’s only about six minutes and yet they give you so much info, really well done.

When I researched the co-op for this game to know if it has crossplay, it said it supports up to 4 players in co-op

Noticed something interesting this Elden Ring trailer: they edited out any button icons that would indicate a certain platform/controller. In the debut gameplay trailer I remember the controller icons were Xbox controller icons. With this trailer, when they showed prompts, menus, and the map, which usually show a button icon there was simply no buttons shown whatsoever, not even K&M. It’s so clear they just don’t want this game associated with a platform and worked hard on that, for whatever reason.

He is the same guy who ‘sparked’ ‘controversy’ years ago by making a bunch of video torturing woman just because they wanted emancipation in RDR2. Not giving him a single bit of click.

I know it’s on Xbox channel now. I doubt anything has changed. But imagine triggering PS fans over that to the point you have to play “fair.”

Like, were “people” mad the game got debuted at Xbox show or something?

Of course they were.

Dark Souls 2, 3, Sekiro were all at Xbox shows (3 and Sekiro debuted there). Why would this be different enough to have an effect?

Honestly don’t know, were those games only debuted at Xbox or did they have something like a marketing deal too? From what I remember, no marketing deal, but I forget…

Bandai Namco just shot themselves in the foot.

It’s the same. They just debuted there (Well, Sekiro had a “half debut” at Game Awards with no platforms and not even the full title, Xbox debuted it proper). Xbox debuted Dark Souls 3 though. There was no “marketing rights” past that. It’s the same with Elden Ring.

I’m just getting a little tired of all this “fear” that Sony/Sony fanboys managed to “push” Elden Ring out of an “Xbox marketing deal” when it didn’t even have one in the first place. It’s the same as Dark Souls 3.

I think some people have gotten so into this content war they’ve forgotten that not every single game has “marketing rights”

It’s Jeff Grubb’s fault, he “speculated” that conspiracy theory

Damn, that is awesome!

Normally I’m like…let me solo this all the way, action RPG, any RPG is a solo thing for me. But for this I loom forward to playing in co-op. Big reason is that I just don’t have the patience anymore to deal with some of these hard ass boss fights, not gonna lie. Well, not on my own, that is. I don’t want to get frustrated, eventually yell and throw cusswords at the screen in turn scaring my sweet dog, she’s so sensitive to that. Even a very brief sigh can make her all go “oh no, what did I do?” Lol.

Co-op it is!!!

It’s just baseless… What would Sony do? Not “market” Bamco games ever again? They never do it in the first place. Go extreme and not let Bamco on PS anymore? They wouldn’t do that lmao. They have no leverage here.

All that happened, is Geoff Keighly massively overpaid for it to be at his show instead of Xbox E3 (because his show had NOTHING otherwise), and MS let it happen because he’d be advertising it as a multiplat anyway.

Ah, that. I remember seeing outrage on RE over that, I didn’t click the thread because they get outraged over truly any damn thing, lmao.

So this dude on purpose made videos torturing women in the game to protest emancipation and rile up people? That’s silly too.

Yeah I’m tempted to get myself and co-op it because like you I don’t have the patience anymore for frustration, but the only person I know who’s gonna get it is on PS5 :frowning:

And btw your dog does look so sweet

I’ve always thought so too and was weirded out whenever someone ran with it in here.

Did Grubb even hint at Sony involvement or did he just say “It won’t be at Xbox’s show” and then the usual suspects twisted that into “Sony is involved”? (There were people even saying Sony “probably bought exclusivity” lmao)
