a kickstarter project for souls fans

IMO this game looked a lot more unique and interesting last year or two ago concept wise at least, but now, I guess it looks fine but nothing particularly special. Also looks like they’ve added step dodge in place of roll, so more Bloodborne than Souls and the combat does look a tad more faster paced. Either way, it’s nice to see indie projects like this though, more of it is good.

Now, Lies of P is where it’s at for me personally. That shit looks hype

The music is so fantastic in that game. Gotta love the uptempo tunes when in a fight, oh man.

yeah the concept phase made it seem more horror/psychological action hack and slash, now it just seems generic ish. Life of P has infinitie potential thats for sure.

My reaction to Dexter New Blood ending :

I haven’t watched the season yet, but is it worth watching? In my opinion Dex should have ended with the Trinity season, that was perfect. What came after went from strange to the utter ridiculous. With that shit with Deb, like really? And that ending was laughable.

I think you should watch the new season . Its good in my opinion . Cant really say anything more as that might give you hints for what will happen in the show .

Anyone picking up God of War this week on Steam?

I kid you not, I’m ecstatic that I might finally be able to play God of War with an Xbox controller at 60fps. Might wait on a price drop for it but I’m gonna definitely play it again and give it another shot. I bought a PS4 after the reveal for that game off my friend just so I could experience it, pre-ordered the game and while I was really enjoying it, I couldn’t stand the bog standard PS4 launch controller.

Being able to play it again with a new fresh coat of paint at 60fps on Steam with an Xbox controller is gonna be crazy. I hope its a good port. My plan is to plug my gaming PC into my tv instead of attempting to play it on my ultrawide monitor so that I can get a steady 60fps and experience it like it was an Xbox title.

I am not against such an option and so far most games have let us disable it. When I play Halo I can’t help but feel those gaming on PC have an absolute advantage over us controller players.

You can’t tell me it’s not way more accurate and fast with a mouse and keyboard.

Ever since I started following a dude on Twitter that posts really cool gaming screenshots I also see the stuff he replies to.

I see very silly, sad folks doing everything they can to downplay anything Xbox. They post pictures of Ellie in TLOU2 photo mode and then compare that to Senua from the last Hellblade 2 video. Acting as if Ellie looks that good during actual gameplay, lmao it’s just very sad.

honestly I detest twitter for this horrible feature every day.

I remember when Tom Warren ranting on one of his Verge articles about Xbox’s commitment regarding cross-gen stuff and when Sony revealed their true color, him and the whole Verge staff be like “yeah sure alright.”

Controller is actually better for Halo, at least when it comes to using BR which is obviously the primary weapon for competitive

Literally every pro is using controller

I posted the other day about TLOU fanboys and by extension PS being the most insecure gamers iv ever come across

All fanbases have their bad eggs but iv never seen a fanbase so damn insecure that they feel literally everything posted is an attack to their Gods, someone posts something completely unrelated, “yeah but look at this, LOOK HOW GOOD THIS LOOKS, WHY ARENT YOU LOOKING AT THIS, THIS IS BETTER”

It’s painful

I for one would love for Sony to go back to making fun games with actual charm like Twisted Metal and Syphon Filter again. But I figured they were all about the sad dad these days. Nice to see they want to bring it back.

Don’t get me started on that lot. I really, reeeeaallly, hate to be that guy. But I feel like many TLOU fans maybe weren’t exposed to certain other media like Books or Films , so to them TLOU has broken "new ground " storytelling and characterization. Which isn’t true even if we’re just talking about videogames.

By the way, I was wondering, do we know if Elden Ring will let you co-op with a buddy through the whole story?

Normally for a action RPG, any RPG I go solo but I think I’m gonna love playing this game with a buddy alongside me, it’ll make the bosses more doable, I’m probably less likely to give up, lol and once you kill a boss the joy will be immense.

The trailers kinda made it seem like you can co-op all the way, unlike Souls games where I think you can only summon them for bosses?

You can summon players to complete/clear levels together, summoning is not only for bosses. Though in the older games levels were broken into sectors and sometimes you had to summon someone more than one time to clear a level.

For an open world game like Elden Ring I guess those restrictions will be even less this time around.

Right now from their active IP’s (besides GoW) only Astrobot gives me that kind of feeling, their western AAA output is becoming more and more one note. I’d love to see Resistance (Resistance 3 was a really good game) come back in the PS5 but I don’t know if Jimbo will give the green light for a project like this.
