I will go further and say that Sony is highly likely to pivot from time exclusive games. The moves of Microsoft heavily changed the market. I do curious about their Spartacus.

Yeah, no way Square will get acquired unless they get similar deal as Bungie or if we all believed to read it 100% correctly AKB. Also, if FF7R does come to Xbox, faith is restored with them in bringing to Xbox. A bit bewildered today if I must say.
Directs satisfy my JRPG hungers as usual 
. One of the reasons I love Directs, they go hard on this genre. Triangle Strategy too though that wasn’t a new announcement like these.

Did Xbox pay for Chrono Cross? This game is skipping Xbox like all the other SE games.

In fact, are we starting to see a different SE now with Chrono Cross coming to Xbox as well?
Which reminds me of something, several years ago there were reports that SE was changing how and where they released their games. iirc that E3 Nier Automata was announced for Xbox. At that time it seemed so hopefully SE was all in for Xbox.

This game Loop8 (by Marvelous) from the Japanese Direct is coming to Xbox too, but I think it might be Japan-only.

Nope. Just last year Saga Frontier, Legend of Mana, Neo: World Ends with You and Voice Cards were skipping Xbox for whatever reason.

Game looks good, sure hope it will come to the west. Would be hilarious if the one new IP JRPG that does hit XBox won’t release here.

Yeah, Marvelous is becoming a very good Xbox supporter. Rune Factory 4, Story of Seasons, Corpse Party, now this. I imagine Xseed/Marvelous Europe will announce the localization of this soon.
Even if not, it’d warm my heart to see JP only games getting Xbox releases again.
Wonder if it’d ever be possible for MS to work with Xseed to get their Trails games on Game Pass… Trails in the Sky, and Cold Steel 1 and 2. Trails in the Sky SC is in my top 10 games of all time. Would faint if I saw it.
Also, the teams behind building the actual games of Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey (Artoon and Feelplus) were absorbed into Marvelous… Wonder if they’d be a good candidate to hit up for that XGS published JRPG? Mistwalker/Marvelous collab for LO2… Getting the team back together… Ahhh I’m getting to into my dream Xbox projects lol.

I say baby steps. They might come around but I think “niche” games won’t come anytime soon, if not ever. Also, depends on development, maybe some are coming to the light to bring more games to Xbox. So only time will tell.

I 100 percent didn’t expect to see Chrono Cross on Xbox, don’t replay games, and am generally against remasters but since CC is one of my top 10 games of all times, I will play this.
Yeah, SE is strange as hell. Because we did get DQ on Game Pass.

Damn then, I hope Xbox can get the next Super Robot Wars. These games are MASSIVE sellers in Asia. Only issue here is these games don’t get Western releases due to various license issues, and Xbox is kinda the Western market or bust (though that above Marvelous game may be a JP only game and it’s on Xbox). They DO get English releases though (SEA market). I bought SRW 30 in the Steam Lunar Sale but didn’t get to play it yet (I even splurged on the deluxe edition because of the Sakura Wars DLC lol)
