I still can’t believe people bought into it.

its such a weird situation, there’s a whole history of the studio not delivering games/giving up on their projects early and handing them off, I still cant wrap my hand around as to why people still trust them to deliver ANYTHING.

This looks so cool

Literally Sifu

Fuck Sifu

Angerily goes back to playing it

I’ve really wanted to go back to Siege. But it’s too many service games for me rn. I’m currently on the Destiny, Overwatch, and Battlefield V grind. Too many options atm

If I wanted to give Pillars of Eternity a shot, is it okay to start with 2? I don’t know if I have it in me to go too far back right now.

You can do yeah, there’s obviously going to be a bit of knowledge you’re lacking and it is a direct sequel but it acts really well as a standalone. I would suggest reading up on the events of the first game so you arent completely blind

The video game press should really ask this themselves. Indies would be more visible if the press would cover them. But if you look at reviews, its only the biggest indie games which get an article. Look at metacritic, often a new indie game releases on Game Pass and not a single review is anywhere to find. Now imagine how its for the average indie game.

And then they write articles as this. Look in the mirror!

Its about visibilty. They are afraid of a time when you as an Indie dev are not on Game Pass you are dead. And that would give a lot of bargaining power to the people running the Game Pass catalog. But this was always the case, Indie promos like Summer of Arcade got way more visibility and success than your run of the mill Wednesday indie game release. The press could help here but they are more focused on clickbait articles about a possibly very bad Game Pass future.

If you don’t want to play the first, then you don’t want to play it, but IMO you will miss out on a lot in terms of world building and understanding the motivations and behaviors of many of the characters.

I’ll give it a shot and see whether I can stomach the old.

Dammit we need more dragon games!

The ending, like all the other Yakuza games, pulls on a lot of heart strings, but if you haven’t fallen for it quite yet then I’m not sure there’s much the game can do to convince you otherwise.

Might be at least worth watching the cutscenes on YouTube at that point.

I played the whole Kiru saga and so far the new characters havent grabed me at all :frowning: Nambas story was boring the fake money stuff also and the new enemies are also rather boring The gameplay also is only serviceable imo… the thing is if I stop here I might stop with Yakzua main games entirely

Will anyone be playing Crossfire MP? Here I mean.

Maybe finish this one and see how you feel at the end. That could factor in for future games for you.

Even if this one doesn’t end well for you, the story of the next one might still grab you, and they might do some new mechanics to the combat.

Idk, it’s really hard with Yakuza since they’re always so story heavy and so elongated.

Hmm how much ch. are left?

There’s a total of 15. I’d also recommend saving your money up too. That real estate/business game may help too.

I have that finished actually  That was really fun
