This true? Because depending on if part 1 is actually good, 10 bucks is peanuts.

Crossfire X isn’t gonna be good.

Let it go Staffy.

If it was good, it would actually be advertised.

I just hope Remedy got some good money out of this

Crossfire X is one of the most “quietly sent out to die” games I’ve seen in a while, and I have no idea why.

If not this, probably the other 5 games they announced.

I don’t know how indies can be afraid of gamepass. I imagine it helps them.

They’re afraid of making money and being able to eat

I don’t disagree, but I will still see for myself 2morrow :stuck_out_tongue:

The idea behind the article is that if you’re an Indie that’s not on GamePass you won’t do as well because you don’t immediately get access to the 25 million subscribers instantly to help with marketing, viability and experimentation.

Like if you “2.5D Pixel Metrodvania” that’s not on GamePass nobody will care about your game and be lost in the shuffle against “60 Metacritic Indie Game” that’s Day 1 on GamePass.

Its so odd

Went from E3 reveal in 2018(19?) to multiple X0 events, a free beta two years ago, a campaign trailer in Xbox Showcase 2020 to
being quietly sent out to die with nothing

Something happened Javy.

But thats the situation even without the existence of GamePass or PSNow or Games with Gold or PS+ or Epic Games Store freebie or Twitch Prime Giveaway. I assume it’s too convenient for them to acknowledge that reality.

It was probably a deal MS made back in 2017 when the ship was barely starting to turn around. MS was probably taking whatever they could at the time.

Actually, Crossfire is a big thing in Asia, it’s the biggest shooter over there and a console port should have been marketed better anyway, unless it’s REALLY bad, but how bad it can be in a world where most of big games release half broken?

If your game sucks or doesn’t have good marketing or just no luck whatsoever, your indie game isn’t gonna get noticed regardless

They already face this problem on Steam, 1000s upon 1000s of games get released on it every year, how many of those are actually successful? A very small %

I imagine it’s much the same on xbox, the only difference is gamepass actually gets to highlight some indie games that most likely would have went overlooked without it

I have nothing against indies, but looking at Xbox store alone, there’s clearly a lot of indies. Game Pass helps a lot as the ones that get highlighted will catch my interest or at least attention easier. Like Dreamscaper for example. I wouldn’t even know this game being this good. Not to mention, it saves money before demanding refund. So I see no problem with it.

At this rate, Scalebound will be another Silent Hill if this goes on.
