360 got to like 1.2-1.5 million over there and that was back in the day where Japan gamers cared about more than just Nintendo and the 360 had a bunch of Japanese exclusives

Even playstation will get nowhere near the old days with ps5

Series consoles have already outsold XB1 over there, if they can end up even selling 500k there id consider that a win

As I thought, 360 was actually pushed over there, we’ll see if and when MS tries something bigger than vtuber ads. XD

Unlike most people here I don’t feel as if Bioware is washed, and still believe that the next versions of Dragon Age and Mass Effect will be really great games.

Considering only Anthem was terrible game Im feeling pretty good.

I dont think the problem at Bioware was so much creative freedom (Frostbite aside) and more of having absolutely 0 leadership.

Well if leadership is the issue, then the next game would be their make or break. If they shit the bed again, the bioware name would become an afterthought

Switch simply has the games they are looking for. They don’t really like Sony’s cinematic games besides Ghost of Tsushima (for obvious reasons). Portability is also a massive factor. Nintendo also just treats JP devs like gold ever since the Switch released while Sony has distanced themselves from them besides Square and in some cases went hostile on some of the smaller devs. Nintendo heavily caters to what Japan wants and this is the results.

There haven’t really been many “partners” for IG on the AAA front outside MS.

It’s them doing support work for a game for any of the myriad publishers they’ve worked with. But Lead Character Artist is something that a support studio doesn’t usually have, especially when they’re supposed to “drive the artistic direction of character art at the studio”. That is generally done by core team and not the support from what I can surmise.

I loved Bioware back in the day, Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins was a phenomenal peak. It all went to shit the more EA got involved and nowadays I have very little hype for anything they do.

I want them to return to form, I would love a good ME or DA game. I really hope they do. However there will be 0 hype and 0 preorders from me this time.

Yeah, getting pretty large case numbers here every day in Australia (NSW).

My wife and I just recently got the rona, and 3 out of 5 of our children have it. Feeling pretty symptom free though for now.
