XboxEra Community Hangout |OT5| Season of the Infinite.. Arguments

I guess someone saw sonic frontiers behind the scenes and found it super impressive

Sonic could get that “Halo is back” moment. Only time will tell. It could be good time to be a Sonic fan next year with movie and game.

Coming from an outlet who gave a mid review of Infinite while everyone else praised it. Grain of salt.

What did they give Infinite?

Giant Bomb gave Halo Infinite an 8/10 which isn’t bad at all.

Yea scores were on average 8 or 9 so how is that mid? I don’t get it

The Everbourne Saga tweeted something interesting.

It seems the normal timed exclusive ghame for xbox like stalker is 3 months but for sony its a a year or more( final fantasy forspoken)

Xbox needs to fix this

I waited 13 hours in one spot for a boss to spawn in ff14 today and 2 minutes before it spawned my internet went brrr and i lost connection. Slightly salty lmao

If it isn’t a 10 it’s literal trash.

The review score scale for a lot of people starts at 6 and goes from there lol.

Arkane thanked Sony for believing in their vision with Deathloop. This sounded a little odd to me. Wasn’t Deathloop announced in the first trailer with Xbox and PS? Sony just made a deal with Zenimax. So how was Sony believing in their vision?

This also brings me to this, we all assume and rightfully so that the game will come to Xbox next September, right? But has anything been said about that officially? I mean it would make all the sense in the world for it to drop on Game Pass immediately but I don’t recall a official confirmation yet.

I think you are reading too much into it, as in life, don’t automatically take what people say as fact. At the very least they are just being polite, because the industry is still smallish, but we do know that Sony helped finance the game so there is an element of truth to it.

That’s true. The money hat means more budget for Arkane, right? Maybe I was not being reasonable about Sony here, haha.

They can’t talk about it yet; the contracts usually entail not releasing on other console as well as not disclosing releasing on other console for the duration of it. So, for Deathloop we could actually have a shadowdrop on Xbox lol.

Usually is for smaller teams and games, while Bethesda isn’t small, they weren’t doing great financially(?) and Deathloop was a risky game.

My thing is, Microsoft was intending to acquire them back in 2018, right? They must’ve been offered to help with Deathloop and have it exclusively, no? They must’ve known that either they helped and got exclusivity deals for it + Ghostwire Tokyo, or they’d go to Sony. So I’ll assume Xbox passed on them knowing Sony could get them.

Wait… i’ve only just seen the new gameplay trailer for Saints Row… i’m a bit confused i thought they said they were dying down on the over the top action stuff and return to old form per say?

I’ll take shorter + Game Pass day one over longer any day.

Why do you have wait for 13h for a boss respawn ? Do people camp on the boss because of the newest DLC ?

I got to say, I do find Xbox approach on what to gain sensible and reasonable with fans. By that, I mean getting the game day 1 for Game Pass. See, when PS gains a timed exclusive over a AAA game, it hurts because there will be people that won’t able to play it. Same can be said if Xbox does it, but for now, they’re only doing it on Indie.

Game Pass doesn’t really damage anything, unless you’re a believer of “their” idea of support developers. If say Elden Ring is day 1 on Game Pass, will PS gamers suffer? No, because they’re still getting it. Same for PC. Dare I say, everyone wins. I respect fans for wanting it on Game Pass over sabotaging others with timed exclusive. Maybe they will do someday but for now, I rather be excited to get a game on day 1 for Game Pass than waiting for a timed exclusive that will lose the hype down the road.
