Let’s say it’s not on Sony anymore and it’s Xbox who has to make a decision now. Why wouldn’t they do all they can to at least this to Xbox and/or Game Pass? Phil went to Japan several times and we got some nice results too when we got all Yakuza games on Game Pass and even LAD day one on Game Pass and even as timed exclusive too.
Then we also got DQ and Phil has said several times aftr all this that they would keep doing their best for Japanese games. Why wouldn’t they do all they can to get a huge one like the remake of a super beloved game?
it’s possible they are working out a gamepass deal for it, i’m sure the PC version has been ready for a while and EPIC threw a giant bag of money at it but we have no details on the state if it even exists of a xbox version. They also might have been trying to get it on PC gamepass at the same time and EPIC threw a wrench in that as well.
It’s also possible that at some point Sony payed for full exclusivity for it, we don’t know and since no one who could actually get an answer out of square-enix will ask that question we may never know.
That Saber Interactive stream is odd…it was about to show what looked like a Wipeout esque game and then the screen got black and then nothing for minutes and the stream is now over.
Also, the sequel to Plague Tale looks amazing. Incredibly impressive for that team. Just like Hellblade I should freaking start playing that game one of these days.
Another game that I discovered due to game pass, I didn’t expect much but I ended up loving this game. Characters are great, atmosphere and art direction is awesome and gameplay wise the game uses it’s mechanics really clever and manages to keep things fresh till the end of the game. It looks bloody amazing too, definitely check it out.
Persona situation is weird. There must be substantial moneyhats from Sony. I kinda understand the reasoning why it skips Xbox, but why it isn’t on Switch is a mystery. It could sell millions there.
Someone should hold a public interview and ask the one in charge on possibility for Switch and/or Xbox, though mostly former. Whether they’ll be truthful or not, just curious on their stance. Can’t help but think that one South Park joke where they asked the Prime Minister on the situation on whales and dolphins and straight up curse them. It will be like that for Xbox. Lol. But seriously, I am curious.
I think it’s just that Atlus is really picky about where there games go. Switch got an exclusive Atlus game with SMT5 and the 3DS had 2 Persona side games as exclusives. They probably just think porting their games to Xbox aren’t worth it.
