Almost everyone who’s played the beta agreed the game needed a lot more time in the oven. Not just to polish, but to address key design decisions. EA keeps fucking up their BF launches as usual, this might actually be worse.
It pains me but I have skipped BF, at least for the moment, because of the issues with the game. It also goes to show that ‘hype’ trailers are useless because they were gaining a lot of traction.

EA + DICE combo. You gotta wonder is it all on EA or is DICE also to blame. This is the 5th time in a row now, seemingly even worse.
It’s mainly on EA because they always insist on a fall release and these games are ambitious. They normally always need more time.

Honestly both games are so much fun that when I play Halo I also think of Forza and the other way around.

I think Redfall needs a decent sized gameplay demo and TGAs isn’t the time for that (IMO).
I’m going Hellblade + Avowed, maybe also with a CG trailer for something further out.

BF2042 now at 21% on Steam.
Well, I think that grabbing Back 4 Blood for Game Pass definitely turned better than paying million more for BF2042 (especially since this was delayed out of October unlike B4B).

Of what I’ve seen it has a alot to do with the “Fortniteification” with the silliness amidst what was sold as a serious toned game and the “CoDification” of the game, BF’s core audience is not impressed.
I have not bought it yet, i hope they fix it. But there seems to be no one left at DICE who has made a BF game in the past.
Would it be sad if Halo Infinite out rank in player count today?
The combat in the first game make it unplayable for me, even though that wasn’t the main focus of the game, if the second is similar then I’ll have to pass on it no matter how great everything else might end up being.
Hoping for Hellblade 2, Avowed and Redfall gameplay trailers if each is ready to be shown. E3 2022 should be a massive 2 hour blowout!!!

I find it pretty funny DOA Xtreme sold double of what DOAU sold, lol.
