Some of these games just seem off to me. People want big narrative driven games but some of the rumored games are

This all seems like the opposite of what people are asking for. People want the Rodent game as matt booty even said and god damn redfall is technically less than a year away and we still havnt seen anything. no Halo campaign footage but I do think we get that a 20 anniversary. I hope we see gamplay of stuff as rumored we will at the game awards because. I dont want to wait till E3 2022 to see a lot of footage of games for a console that came out in 2020 Sorry if it sounds like im complaining im just not as excited as some for the rumored games we have heard about the past few weeks,
Iâve seen a ton of footage of Forza Horizon 5 (which I am guessing doesnât count) and have played Halo Infinite (which I am also guessing doesnât count).
I hate to say it, but if you canât be excited about the upcoming Xbox lineup and are only interested in big narrative driven third person action games then you probably own the wrong console. Even with those rumored games, Xbox has such diversity that people shouldnât be complaining that not every game is a game for them.

The lore involved in Halo, for example, is bigger than any narrative driven game Sony ever did. There tenths of books and other media related to Halo lore that you wont see in any Sony game. At a sense, Halo campaign is a narrative game, sometime not told in the best possible ways, but still there is a lot in there. I think it is a bit unfair when you generalize saying âpeople wantsâ. They will show the campaign soon. Not to mention bethesda games now, Starfield in the corner, probability a huge rpg story driven.
There are millions of ppl that plays Minecraft that donât care about that games, they probably would give a run for the next god of war and imediataly go back ther worlds on minecraft, same with Halo Horizon 5 or SOT, communities after beating it. I see MS focusing more on their games communities rather then following some thing more aligned to sony route blockbusters. I mean, they definitely need more 3rd person narrative games aka âsony gamesâ to accommodate folks like you, however saying it a universal need, it is a bit decoupled from Xbox real life communities, I think.

Rodent game? I didnât watch the Matt Booty video but I heard he does understand and agrees that people want more third person cinematic games. I canât deny that Iâd love to see that coming from a Xbox studio in the future too.
What it looks like right now is that Publishing is mostly going after MP/online games, and some smaller indie games like Shaolin. If itâs actually a small game, we gotta wait and see. But these online games are seemingly going to be big games and could turn out to be one of the forces to get more GP subs. As what the Game Industry article yesterday spoke of, that GP does need that.
The other force to drive subs will be from their own studios where weâll get the big stuff like Starfield, Avowed, Hellblade 2, Fable and so on.
