I was talking with a friend about Motorsport a few days ago and I realized that Forza 7 released back in 2017…they sure are taking their sweet time with this one which is only great news of course! Can’t wait to see what Turn 10 is cooking all these years (which must be the longest development time for a game in the series IIRC), game will be bonkers! so much stuff coming from Xbox…

Just saw in the news that Microsoft is opening 3 Azure datacenters today in my country. xCloud finally getting better! The datacenters are run completely on renewable energy, with excess heat going into the heating systems for housing. Nice!

Something weird is going on…
Got 5 games in quick resume, did not go to queue and choose to suspend a game to make downloading speed up. But yet I’m installing a game with almost all of my internet speed.

Yeah I seem to remember reading that Microsoft is adding data centers in Scandinavia. I believe atm the nearest one is in Germany so in theory it should make XCloud a little better.

Suspending a game is only if the game is still “active”, games in QR don’t affect download speed

yeaah, there aren’t a lot of “indie friendly” publishers in the public discourse that I can think of. Sony is immediately out of the question lol. Really hope MS isn’t who they are referring to.

Could be Devolver yeah, again would be very disappointed if so. It can’t be epic cuz they don’t publish jackshit from indies or anyone outside the recently formed Epic Publishing which came with the clause that the studios get to own the IP, and those games aren’t even out yet.
Don’t think it’s MS since publishing is the one coming to devs to make games not the other way around.
That’s how I think it works anyway, could be wrong.
There’s also deals like Death’s door and The Ascent were the devs are pretty free with their IP.
I think it can go both ways tbh.

I guess if you’re pitching a game to Xbox publishing then you know what to expect, Xbox has shown support for Indies that want exclusivity deals and gamepass deals that could help development in the same way.
