not necessarily, Vince can still overlook the development on some level and if there are devs over at Respawn who want to work on Titanfall again cuz Apex has become a cash cow Respawn will never step away from, then they can join this new studio.

Yeah timed exclusivity is annoying, and doesn’t really improve our gaming experience in any way. Would rather they spend the money on new IP 3rd party exclusives and game pass games.

Why not both ? Kotor would be a good example.
In fact with third party timed exclusivity - permanent residence on gamepass is not guaranteed, unless there is an additional clause to their contract covering their revenue .
