So Strauss said they’ll continue treating their main frontline properties with the model of one-off retail at launch, and down the line over time and down the pricing, they’ll make it available for subscriptions (although we see how long those stay in the subscription too which is what, 3 months at max? lol).
The chinese owning Playstation would be a disaster for western culture as a whole. It’s ok to joke about competition, but that would be a nightmare scenario.

I see Game Pass being at 35m when they announce the official numbers in January.

If its at 30 M right now then after Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite’s release , 35 M is not an impossible task . I’d say its 100% possible ( provided its 30 M right now ) .

I think it is reasonable. Forza Horizon and Halo Infinite will bring in A LOT of subs.
My guess is it’s hovering somewhere between 25-30 million right now, the fall games will add another 5-10. The numbers will fluctuate a bit due to a weak H1 of 2022, but with Starfield it will explode to bonkers numbers and it’s full speed after that from first party.

yeah im pretty sure he knows, phil could be talking back and forth about upcoming take two games coming to gamepass. The subs have to be known by all parties involved.

Nah, 25 is one of those numbers that would be mentioned like around 25 mil or something. 20, 25, 30 they are milestones. So there should be around 27-28 at least.
Retail will die. That’s inevitable. Just like it happened with PC. On a long enough timeline even digital will die and only subscriptions will remain. F2P + subscriptions for non-F2P is the future basically.
