All of these reactionary shows have no clue how Xbox operates. What do you think happens if they go desperately try and get a “superhero game”? It releases in five frigging years, that’s what. FFS this issue dominating the board was old as soon as it began.

Sony didn’t fund or publish Godfall. Gearbox did. At most, Sony paid for the PS5 version being released 6 months before the PS4 version.

Sorry but Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 did nothing for Nintendo. No one gave a shit about that game and I’m sure no one bought a Switch just because of that. Xbox has a strategy in place and they are going to follow that, not scramble and follow Sony’s trends. But… I’m not saying a superhero game wouldn’t be beneficial, it absolutely would. But they don’t need to.

An IP is only as good as a developer, and I’d rather not have MIcrosoft waste some of their talented teams on licensed shit (Indy not withstanding) on something that could be ripped off GamePass 5 years from now when the license expires.
Yeah, remember GamePass? It’s part of the reason Microsoft is going to be super careful on ip they don’t own so when Ninja Theory’s Blade video game loses the license, it doesn’t get ripped off GamePass and becomes a “Gotch Ya!” moment.
Everybody wanted Microsoft to make new IP after Halo Gears Forza, which they’re doing in droves, and now you want them to stop making new IP, to adapt licensed IP that they won’t own or control because Sony is doing it.

True but none of them have anything to do with Disney/Marvel/LucasFilm Games. What do you think Sony is going to concentrate on more? Those games or some minor crappy games? Come on. Those are just filler.
Sony only cares about the bangers. They don’t care about those minor filler games. Even Herman Hulst said it on the showcase. “They go after the games that matter most”. That’s definitely not the Godfall’s, Destruction All Stars or Hunting Grounds of the world.
I’m betting on Guardians of The Galaxy.

I mean… Sony isn’t infallible, this idea that Sony doesn’t put bad games out from time to time is just ridiculous. I can list plenty of games that Sony commissioned externally that weren’t great, and plenty from first-party. I suppose too many of you all have forgotten Driveclub, Haze, Lair, No Man’s Sky (sure it’s great now, but it was a travesty for several years), Entwined, etc.

So having a Disney license makes the game automatically good? Someone should have told Square that…
Playstation already made a bad game using an big IP(Predator Hunting Grounds). I’m not saying that KOTOR is going to be bad, but considering the game good without any gameplay just because it has the Sony name on it is not a good idea.

We all know you’re a Sony fanboy and the moment someone brings up a counterpoint to your “Sony Always Quality” argument, it doesn’t count because reasons. There’s plenty of empirical data to show they make/fund just as many duds/bad games as “bangers” (god I hate that word).

That would be very surprising considering the game went gold today. Is there anything left in 2021 to delay to 2022? Everything has already been delayed.
