I mean Deathloop is reviewing gonzo numbers and PS5 ain’t getting Deathloop II (probably).
Like anyone who buys Deathloop on PS5 tomorrow knows what they’re getting into.

Neither does “Mass Effect” Andromeda.
Fighting for my life Mort
The PS5 stinks Prog. Cool paper weight tho here in my living room.
I’ll give you $50 bucks for it.
Best I can do.
Would love to see Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider get a Series X/S upgrade.
Best we can do is Fps boost for 2 since The others got It already.
I’m hoping they get upgraded for Series X/S instead of just an FPS Boost. Since Microsoft owns Bethesda, every last gen (Xbox One) game should be upgraded for Series X/S in my opinion.
Xbox first-party since launch via OpenCritic:
Gears Tactics - 83
Flight Simulator - 91
Psychonauts 2 - 89
Deathloop - 88
Forza Horizon 5 - ???
Age of Empires 4 - ???
Halo Infinite - ???
Xbox already has two GOTY contenders and we’re only halfway done. Look at that diversity and quality. Fucking bonkers.
Feels like the first year i can remember where Xbox had hands down a better first party slate.
Sony has their same playbook from the 90’s. When they moneyhatted Tomb Raider from the Saturn and any other consoles after the first game, all the way into the 2000’s. This is how they’ve always done business. Which is why I rolled my eyes hard when gaming media sycophants and influencers, started bawwwing at MS for ROTTR exclusivity. Crazy how they don’t call out Sony in the same manner or these kinds of deals but it is what it is.
Most seem to think that MS is trying to play nice and afraid of backlash by doing these deals, I don’t know if I buy that. Maybe these deals are cheaper for Sony and MS feels the money can be better spent elsewhere. (Namely Gamepass) I really can’t see them being outbid by Sony. Sucks ass either way. I watched the show afraid they got Dragon’s Dogma, only for KOTOR to show up and get me angrier lol.
Wholeheartedly agree with this. I’ve already lost interest in FF7 remake (though that has a lot to do with certain changes to the story) and have no intention of buying it if it comes to Xbox.
So does the Deathloop opening credits show XGS logo?
Yup… Won’t make sense
Don’t care about cutscenes. It has to be third person.
I wouldn’t mind the optional first person mode ( I believe every game should have this option to play a game in Third or First person mode )
Personally, I just can’t get too worked up over timed exclusivity bullshit. Don’t get me wrong, it is bullshit & a legitimately scummy tactic, but at the end of the day the games aren’t exclusive forever.
The people in charge of Xbox right now are doing their best to create a platform that is irresistible to gamers. They’ve built wonderful hardware, put together an incredible first-party stable that will supply said hardware with a constant stream of top class software & they are shaking up the entire industry with the services on offer, from Game Pass to Xcloud.
Honestly, I genuinely think having to wait for a couple of timed exclusive deals to expire is such a minor inconvenience when compared with the amount of great stuff Xbox is doing for us.
Gamers who care more about what’s ‘not’ coming to there platform are going to remain dissatisfied this gen
MS went out and spent 7,5B for us (obviously them too) people getting worked up because Deathloop is timed exclusives is just a waste of time, we should be excited and happy the game is scoring well because that just shows us how good the studio is. Yeah it’s tough we miss out for 1 year but PlayStation only gamers will never see a game from Arkane again so who really has the bad side here, not us.
Deathloop is only one part of the equation: between june 2020 and september 2021 5 high profile moneyhats have been announced. It’s one every 3 months on average. Don’t you think they are too many? On one hand Xbox is strenghtening hugely its 1st party portfolio, on the other hand it seems to be at the mercy of the waves with 3rd party relationships, a premiere platform should be strong in both departments. I emphatize ralationships with big 3rd party publishers, not indie deals, I can’t fathom why people seem to believe it’s ok (maybe most don’t give a shit about those specific games, unfortunately I would play day one 3 of 5), not even during X1 gen it was so bad on this front, expecially from western publishers (I remember only the Crash Trilogy among high profile games during all gen).
So No time to Die is finally coming out at the end of this month, now let’s see if it’s good. The trailers looked good.
We kinda need a movie thread.
