Because of bad leadership and management so I hope with Staten there this is fixed going forward.

That has been definitely true till now, but Infinite is a live service, and the pressure post launch won’t be as much as these past 6 years leading up to launch.

Bungie is mad huge, but I’m sure it has an internal team however small at the moment, working on their next IP and isn’t having the pressure of releasing destiny content regularly.

I still need my Halo RPG

Well, me neither but I’m not principally against it is the point.

It’s even harder to maintain a live service. You need all hands on deck constantly working around the clock. Especially a game like Halo.

We’ll see though, anything can happen.

Ehh I don’t think that’s necessarily true. Fortnite is the biggest live service on the planet and epic’s devs seem pretty happy about their everyday operations recently.

Games like Mass Effect, Jedi Fallen Order and Dead Space are possible within the Halo universe.

They’ve completely changed how they do business over there over the last 2 years.

They were pushing out updates every week at an insane pace. The amount of updates they’ve done have slowed to a crawl over the last year or so.

Could you imagine an Arkane Halo immersive sim spin off holy shit

Oh this is interesting. I was just saying on the other thread that their other games have never relied to heavily on aiming and so the gunplay has always felt a bit clunky. Maybe the swap to UE is to facilitate that a bit.

Haha yes, this is why I specific recently, cuz I am aware of these articles when they came out how it was pretty had indeed at epic, but precisely that its gotten better as of recently.

No. 343i should do that, I don’t want 4 or 5 XGS working on Halo.

Lol if 343 stop making halo to make something else, who is going to make halo and not only that, if people couldn’t and still can’t accept 343 to make halo and think bungie is better what makes you think getting yet another company to make it people would be ok with that, they seem to only want bungie to make it.

How bout these studios make whatever they want so they are happy and we get good games  like others have said if you sign up to join 343, you should have the general idea you will be working on Halo while you are there. That to some people is the reason why they join 343.

I would love a halo big SP RPG, that would be cool.

For sure. I’m ultimately agreeing with you but I’m just saying maintaining a relevant live service shooter isn’t a walk in the park. It’s arguably going to be more work.

Epic had to grow at an insane rate to alleviate the crunch too.

Maybe in a couple of years we’ll see them branch off, The Coalition doing something new should give us hope that at the very least it’s possible.

Why not do a Activision and move all teams onto Halo, lol just imagine a game with 23 studios and over 5k staff just working on a single game.

UE is generally bad for open world, now with UE5 they are promising wonders, we shall see.

But 343 don’t do immersive sims and there aren’t any other teams working on Halo

Hmmm, then I hope Redfall is UE5, but I kinda doubt it.

The whole cell based world streaming that UE5 is promising is a good direction, but that’s the thing - apparently Creation engine had that a long time ago according to Josh Sawyer.

Now we know Avowed is Unreal.

Let’s see what they can pull off and maybe finally show proof big immersive open worlds can be realized in it.

Wasn’t Fortnite supposed to change their engine to UE5 by now ? Iirc they said mid 2021 last year.
