Pretty much. Xbox is not as concerned about timed exclusivity but Day One on Game Pass, so Xbox would not only have to pay for exclusivity but also for Game Pass, and in case people haven’t realised but AAA 3rd Party games on Game Pass are the exception rather than than norm.

It is therefore not that hard to come to the conclusion that Xbox just thinks that money can be potentially better invested elsewhere, especially when it is a genre where Xbox is quite frankly stacked.

The side effect of such a big playstation brand is that journos will go where they can get clicks, and pushing PS while dumping on Xbox helps them with that.

Oh apparently GTA V remaster has been delayed into 2022.

Good lord what has happened to Rockstar? Truly wish GTAO had not become a succes at all , just being honest here. We’d have GTA 6 by now, maybe not the crazy budget 6 probably now will be but I’m sure 5 and RDR2 weren’t cheap either.

I saw exactly zero visual improvements in the trailer yesterday.

I concur. Bless the people who enjoy GTO but there is no doubt that it has caused a new GTA to forgo an entire generation because GTO is bringing in so much money, but also requires developers to keep it evolving.

It’s the pc port maxed out without mods, so it’s still a 2014 game, no type of witchcraft can change that.

I was going by what mattyplays said.

Also yeah they need to get over RotTR lol, everyone else pretty much has.

Since you lot doubted me, I just wanted to remind all of you that I was completely in the right with my prediction.

You can all call me Nostradamus from now on.

After yesterday it’s clear that not even Sony can show gameplay from a 2023 game, well that’s assuming God of War is next year of course. I think it would now be extra great if we have Xbox coming with a trailer with gameplay during something like TGA… obviously of Avowed.

This gives a nice first look on what the future holds for Xbox and it’s a show of good faith, because really showing a game that is at least more than 1.5 years away is a really nice change for MS.

A proper first look at the future, something tangible, and a brand new IP announcement, this would be great in my opinion. And that would be a CGI trailer for example, but if it’s just one CGI trailer by Xbox that would be a waste of potential.

Idk its helped Sony quite a bit with FF7R and it will help them again with KOTOR. Sucks personally if you are an xbox gamer but it does help the actual console getting the games.

Back to the regular scheduled programming of begging for fps boosted Dishonored 2 and Mass Effect Andromeda.

Pls.

It’s taking very long , but even longer is the wait for simply new BC games overall.

if you expect an FF7R like result from Aspyr you will probably be very disappointed

Yeah, that’s a bit of a reach, Aspyr is completely untested for this level of scope. Fortunately for them KOTOR is so old that updating the combat will be the hardest task, the world is tiny and they need only to make a new coat of paint, the story is there.

Third game in a row to use the same NY map and same engine. Fourth if you count Spider-Man PS5 edition as it’s own thing.

All I meant was Playstation getting a remake of a 20 year old game worked out for them last time sales wise so if KOTOR comes out well they will reap the benefits again once more.

It’s already known the next Spiderman will be NY only?

:person_shrugging: I mean the fast turnaround suggests it’s a modification of the same map. The trailer shows rain so expect lots of ray traced puddles to make it seem new and improved.

I’m not entirely sure what the problem is with Spiderman 2 being set in New York again. If you look at the history of Spiderman, probably 98% of his stories are set in New York (completely made up number but likely close to true).

Practically the only time he is not in New York is when is temporarily teamed up with the Avengers or some other group to tackle a larger threat.

The same would be true of Daredevil, Luke Cage, and lots of the other Marvel ā€œstreet levelā€ heroes.

New York is part of the character. I’m not sure why you would force a new location on them without a really good reason.
