Alan Wake is a great game that came out during the 360 that not a soul bought so this praise is odd lol.
Iâm just going to assume most non-major (CoDs, Battlefields, Madden, ACs) AAA games are just going to have some form timed exclusivity with PlayStation and make my peace with that because Sonyâs gonna be pricks this generation.
The more they do, the more MS will adopt scorched earth tactics like buying Zenimax.
From a former Remedy dev and back at 2015:
Also making my peace with the fact that Sony will try to lock-down anything Marvel or try to get marketing tie-in/ PlayStation advantage with it.
I believe a lot of the sales were way after launch and due to it being on very good sales. I donât think the game sold that well at launch
Are you already setting doom and gloom scenarios before a Sony show? Please. XD
Then that game Jaffe spoke about could be AW2. A game that would make everyone go crazy. A game only a few fans would talk about but because PS now has it timed exclusive it would make people go wild. If that happens Iâm gonna laugh because itâs just so expected, lol. And cry as well, AW2 not on X for a year knowing Sony would be fucked up.
All speculation of course, and nothing but.
I mean, itâs a somewhat likely scenario.
Colt and Nick already said that Bioshock is either timed or fully, and Nick things SF6 went back to fully.
So itâs not out of the realm of possibility.
I mean, they got Spider-Man in Avengers, Spider-Man and Iron Man games, the marketing rights to GotG, probably something for Midnight Suns⌠Thatâs a pattern.
Yeah the game was not a big success at launch but a lot of people have bought and played the game since 2010 so the praise it gets is not something that we should consider as something weird.
Having Alan Wake become a PlayStation exclusive is a very Xbox thing so Iâm sure itâs true.
I donât take as gospel what insiders say honestly, not even what Shpeshal Nick says, things change and often industry people talk too much shit. I find extremely unlikely a T2 game is fully exclusive, timed is also unlikely, they never did even last gen. With SF6 weâll see, Capcom actual leaks listed as multiplatform, SF5 exclusivity harmed tha game.
I mean old-regime Microsoft had the wonderful idea of launching Alan Wake like THE WEEK before RDR1.
It would suck for sure but we can wait, lots of great games to play on Xbox. To be honest Sony could waste money for timed exclusives for all I care, as long as the game will come to Xbox eventually itâs all fine IMO.
Bioshock is a risky IP game to make in this day and age sadly, moreso with an unproven team.
Wouldnât surprise me that they take a check in case the game bombs.
Bethesda did the same thing with Deathloop and Ghostwire.
Take Two also took a check for exclusive multiplayer access to a port of a port of a 360 game.
So
Sonyâs gonna be pricks like this because itâs gonna be the only way the know how to compete now.
Before they didnât have to do shit except make games.
Now they have to like⌠do shit.
Theyâre clearly not interested in doing that, IMHO, judging by some of the debacles of the past few months.
So they flaunt their power as market leader.
What game are you taling about? Anyway weâll judge when and if happens, if MS doesnât answer properly it means they are still weak.
GTA V: E&E Buy It Again Please.
I think PS5 owners get it early or something with the multiplayer.
Nah, the game launches concurrently, theyâll have some shit more thanks to commercial agreement, but thatâs it. If Bioshock exists (because itâs rumoured since years and it could be vaporware like several SW games canned behind closed doors), imo itâll have some commercial stuff at most.
No I think from the last showcase last year the mentioned something about PS5 owners getting something special for GTA V: The Third Port.
