XboxEra Community Hangout |OT3| Setting Low Expectations

For me, games in which that im only interested in the base game get purchased physically so once completed, I can trade them in. Thus far, I have purchased Marvel’s Spider Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Resident Evil VIII: Village physically. Each game basically cost me $25, $35 and $30 respectively after trading them in. Those games day one for what is half price is a steal at least for me. Next disc based purchase will be Far Cry 6 as I have no interest in the DLC and it comes with a $10 game coin from GameStop which in turn, already makes the game $50 instead of $60. Will be $20 once I trade it in.

Digital purchases for me are games in which im all in meaning that im buying the season/expansion pass. These games were Assassin’s Creed Valhalla ($100/gold edition), Cyberpunk 2077 ($60), Immortals Fenyx Rising ($100/gold edition) and Outriders ($60). Next digital purchase for me is Dying Light 2 ultimate edition which is $100 but very hyped for it. Expecting one hell of a game and great expansions.

So while I can’t speak for anyone else, I buy a decent amount of games regardless of Game Pass. Game Pass for me is all about the Microsoft published exclusives and any third party games that are available day one like The Ascent, A Plague Tale Requiem and Stalker 2.

They have a great track record, their Naruto Shippuden Storm series is still the best anime adaption to date, we’ll se with these new one, the last Dragon Ball Game was a little weak thanks to the useless open world (and the same old"story from 80s), for certain type of games it’s really more harmful than useful.

Anime games are now big even on Xbox, they are the second japanese genre on the platform after action like RE, MH, DMC, etc… overall, it’s no wonder Bandai Namco is twice as big as Square or Capcom, anime games sell better than jrpgs on average.

Damn… I got this deal again

This is the third time I am able to get this deal for $1

This is Crazy! Almost as crazy as having access to hundreds of games and day 1 releases for only $9.99/month and if you’re new you can even get 3 months right now for only $1!:green_heart::no_good_man:t3::video_game:

And you can get 3 months again and again :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

They captured the look of the show perfectly. Definitely on my radar.

Agreed. Hell if the Xbox division wanted to pull some fanservice move, they’d get CyberConnect2 in a room with Capcom and fund a sequel to Asura’s Wrath and have it on Gamepass day one! Didn’t set the sales charts on fire but it is a cult hit. I feel like MS should invest in these kinds of games too every now and again!

I think it would be much less difficult to build an Xbox original anime IP with AAA budget, which is non-existant for that type of games, it could blow out of the water any Bandai Namco or Koei Tecmo anime tie in. Getting an official anime license could be tricky, they are 99% multiplatform nowadays, anyway if they could pull a surprise like the Naruto games in the 360 era, it could be huge, 10-15 years ago those games audience were much smaller.
